According to police, a 17-year-old Walmart employee had an altercation with the elderly couple after nearly hitting Josephine with a heavy cart. The teen allegedly threw a can at them before they walked away. Then, the employee’s parents allegedly showed up and attacked Bert, punching him in the face and kicking him while he was on the ground.
His wife begged them to stop. She told them he had heart problems. Imagine watching your husband of 42 YEARS being beaten in front of you and being unable to stop it.
Bert died the following day from blunt head trauma. Authorities ruled his death a homicide.
Erika Mitchell, 42, and Travis White, 44, have been charged with second-degree murder, while their 17-year-old daughter also faces charges.

If a man believes a woman’s behavior is unacceptable but continues to pursue her sexually, entertain her romantically, or marry her anyway, what incentive does she have to change? From his perspective, her behavior is a problem, but his actions tell her it isn’t a dealbreaker.
If Black men collectively stopped entertaining the behaviors they complain about, women who want relationships with Black men might have to reconsider their approach. Others might choose to date men of different races who are willing to accept them as they are.
Ultimately, nobody is obligated to date, sleep with, or marry anyone. Black men have every right to establish standards and walk away from women whose behavior doesn’t align with those standards.
YOU CANNOT DEMAND CHANGE WHILE CONTINUING TO PARTICIPATE IN THE SAME CYCLE. If you believe certain behaviors are unacceptable, stand on your principles and stop rewarding them with access to you.
Your boundaries mean nothing if you abandon them the moment you find someone attractive. 💯
