Wise Words Wednesday🧐
"You, me , or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't about how hard ya hit. It's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much can you take and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done!" -Rocky

Mindful Minute Monday🧠🧘♂️
Have you ever had that feeling that the world is speeding up around you and you can't slow it down?
Do simple tasks, become almost impossible to do?
Well when your anxiety goes up⬆️, your working memory goes down⬇️ about 15-20%!
Parents see this in their children, when the children can't complete basic tasks like brushing their teeth.
Teachers see it with students saying, "I don't know," even when they do know.
Athletes make a mistake or freeze in the moment.
Practice Plan Friday!
Want to keep your players on the bench sharp and locked in 🔒 to the game?
Have the bench players do shadow at-bats during the game. They might not be able to get the physical reps, but they can get the mental 🧠 reps!

Thursday Pro Tips⚾️
This week's breakdown is a postgame interview with @Brewers captain, Christian Yelich, where he discusses the Brewers' response to being down in the games against the @Dodgers

Check out the thread below🧵
When the Brewers were behind in those games, they stuck to the process and played their form of baseball. Instead of "rising to the occasion," they sunk to their level of training. This level of training allowed them to play their type of game and not lose their identity.
It is important in the big moments and the small moments to have something to go back to when the garbage hits the fan. The Brewers responded in a way during this series which allowed them to sweep the Dodgers and advance to the @MLB World Series.
Wise Words Wednesday🧐
"Don't think you can make up for it by working twice as hard tomorrow. If you have it within your power to work twice as hard, why aren't you doing it now?"
-@UCLAMBB John Wooden
The best time to start was years ago, the next best time is TODAY!
Teacher Tip Tuesday!
"Learn from the past, live in the present, plan for the future."
The only way to learn from the past is to reflect.
Something I started at bedtime with my oldest child are these four questions.
Check out the thread below 🧵⬇️
-What is something that you are proud of today?
-What was the best part of your day?
-What is something that you learned today?
-What is something that you are looking forward to working on tomorrow?
Growth can't occur until you reflect on the past.

Furthermore, with this same pitcher, he wants him to use his last 5-6 pitches to imagine some of the batters that he might face.
The brain does not know the difference between what is real and what you imagine.
