Caleb Douglas credited a tendency of Minkah Fitzpatrick he noticed on tape for his long TD vs. Jets:
"I know Minkah is a guy who really likes to come down and try to tag you, so I kinda was trying to see how he was moving and felt I had an edge."

Jon-Eric Sullivan stood in front of the media after night 1 of the NFL Draft and said 'no apologies' after he drafted Kadyn Proctor #12 overall (& reportedly refused an offer from the Lions to get him).
And he knew what the f**k he was doing.

Dolphins training staff under Sully and Haf has gone largely unnoticed, but they are doing a far better job than what we had last year.
Todd Hunt (pictured) came in from the Packers, and the Dolphins also recruited a couple of guys from college programs. The early returns have been encouraging.

People outside the Dolphins community are not talking enough about what Miami's rookie class is doing.
Kadyn Proctor has played 357 snaps at guard, been a force in the run game and yielded only 13 pressures (1 sack) in six games
Chris Johnson is developing into a CB1 before our eyes. He's physical, scrappy. Hasn't allowed a TD since week 1. Johnson's played the second most snaps of any rookie corner (362) allowing just 206 yards.
Jacob Rodriguez remains top 5 in the NFL in tackles despite playing a game less than the guys ahead of him, and still leads the league in defensive stops (28).
Caleb Douglas led all rookies in separation week 1, got hurt in week 2, and in his first game back against the Jets scored his first 2 touchdowns
Chris Bell is showing signs of being closer to the explosive cutter he was at Louisville every week.

Jeff Hafley praised Greg Dulcich's best game of the sesaon Sunday vs. Jets
"Watching Greg break some tackles, make some plays. The one we had on a screen we didn't even block the guy and he (still) made a huge play in the red area."

Jeff Hafley wasn't expecting to receive a gatorade / water shower from his players, but he appreciated it:
"I could sense that just as I was excited for the players, the players were excited for the coaches and myself. I think that says a lot about the team we have."

Jeff Hafley's message to the pro-tankers after the Dolphins got their first win:
"I have a hard time even trying grasping (people wanting to lose for draft position) to be honest with you. Every move we make, every day we got to try to go win. I hope they see that, I hope they're happy that we won."

Jeff Hafley's monologue on the identity of this Dolphins team will get you FIRED UP 👀
"We keep asking about identity - who are we? What do we want this team to be as we build the foundation? Its toughness, resiliency, physicality, how we play the game.
The two instances of that I'm super proud of is we got hit with a big play, but we strained to get the (Jets player) down at the 1 yard line. And then it was first and goal inside the 1, and they wound up going backwards three plays in a row. That needs to be our identity. When things get hard, are we going to go in the tank or are you going to step up and fight? When you're 0-5 are you go fight or back into a corner? That's who we are, who we need to be.
Then at the end of the game, we have a chance to drain out the clock. We ran the same (gap-scheme) play three times in a row on offense and it was awesome. We got to 4th and 1 - and we need to be tough, physical to finish out games when the game is on the line. When I looked into the guys' eyes I could see it and feel it, after that there was no way we weren't going to go for it."

CJ Carr being more likely than Drew Mestemaker is kinda weird to me. Dolphins fans - start playing attention to the top 10-15 players in this draft, not just the top 5.
Trinidad at 55%. Arch Manning at 17%.

Fifth round rookie TE Seydou Traore had this huge block on the second offensive play of the game yesterday, which sprang Ollie Gordon for 20 yards.
Traore only played 11 snaps (5 blocking), but putting reps like this on tape will absolutely increase his count. @PFF graded Traore an 84.8 yesterday, with an 88.5 run blocking grade.

Ollie Gordon II is edging towards elite company on the year. 229 of his 339 yards have come after contact. Haf & Sully have both spoken about getting this team to be more physical and having a tone setter like Ollie is a great launching point‼️

Dolphins fans should be preparing to pick between 6-13 in the 2027 NFL Draft, rather than in the top 5 imo. This young team is playing hard, and there are more wins on this schedule

I shouldn't be surprised at how many Jet fans thought they could just show up and beat the Dolphins. Even in our retool year, the talent of both rosters is very equal. And the Dolphins have a legit HC while the Jets have Aaron Glenn. I predicted this outcome all week.
