Whilst blanket bans are silly, there are innumerable clinical staff hired with no space to see patients, no desk to work at, no admin support to access charts.
These hires will not be able to impact wait lists because they are not able to see patients.

Assisting someone to die well is a very different thing to administering euthanasia ..our efforts as a humane society should surely concentrate on good care first and access to that good care....legislating for assisted dying is fraught with sinister ethical dangers

I keep being asked what I make of the UFO thing in Congress yesterday, so here it is: I watched a few clips and saw some people who seemed to believe stuff saying extraordinary things without presenting extraordinary evidence. Therefore I have nothing more to say, other than: It would be great if true - it would take a bit of the pressure off our civilisation if we weren’t the only means within the Milky Way by which the Universe understands itself. Sadly, as of today, I still feel that pressure, so can we perhaps focus on not messing our world up rather than hoping that, to paraphrase Sagan, someone will float down to save us from ourselves.
Would like to think @hselive emailed to check Fiona was ok when realised her practice was closed or to thank her for her tireless service to Beara and patients&wish her well on her break..but sadly seems not. True #physicianwellbeing comes from being understood by management
