I've been revisiting Kendra Hill's writings from 2018 and comparing them with recent developments involving Jazzi Cooper, Stefan Thomas and institutional financial infrastructure.
The historical parallels are fascinating. ๐งต๐๐ป
1๏ธโฃ KENDRA HILL, CODIUS & STEFAN THOMAS (2018โ2026)
In 2018, writings attributed to Kendra Hill suggested that XRP's purpose extended far beyond cross-border payments.
She reportedly discussed:
๐ Global derivatives markets
๐ Codius and sophisticated financial contracts
๐ XRP's potential role in broader financial infrastructure
Her central idea?
Cross-border payments may have been only the beginning.
Now consider this. ๐
On 30 October 2026, following Ripple Swell, XRPL contributor @Vet_X0 reported that former Ripple CTO and Interledger co-creator Stefan Thomas had concluded his presentation by saying:
"Codius is next!" ๐ฅ
Thomas was presenting Dassie, a peer-to-peer Interledger payment architecture using XRPL for custody and settlement.
Ripple's own historical documentation confirms that Codius, Interledger and XRPL were designed to complement one another.
Eight years after Hill's writings, Codius is once again being discussed alongside active Interledger development.
This does not validate Hill's predictions or establish that Codius has been relaunched.
But the historical overlap is worth examining.
2๏ธโฃ JAZZI COOPER (2026)
Fast-forward to 2026.
Ripple's Jazzi Cooper is discussing institutional credit, lending, collateral and working capital on the XRP Ledger.
The XLS-65/66 proposals introduce infrastructure for institutional lending.
Cooper has also highlighted XRP collateral for institutional credit as a compelling potential use case.

A later researcher connected Hill's historical ideas to Ripple's investment in Vega Protocol and the possibility of XRP serving as derivatives collateral.
This was not independently verified as Hill's own prediction.
But compare the themes:
2018: Derivatives, Codius and broader financial applications.
2026: Institutional credit, collateral and renewed discussion of Codius.

ok so quiet-ish Tuesday for XRP but a few things worth knowing
the XRPL fix called fixCleanup3_4_0 is on track to go live Nov 4 (around 10:46 PM PH time). it closes a loophole where an account only allowed to burn issued tokens like stablecoins could've minted new ones. CoinDesk found no sign it was ever exploited and XRP's own supply isn't touched. honestly I like that this got caught before the lending stuff launches. boring fixes are the good kind
Ripple's monthly escrow did its usual thing. 1B XRP unlocked Nov 1, 700M went right back in, so 300M net out. every single month someone panics about this lol
price is just sitting around $1.25, down about 3.5% on the week. not gonna lie I don't see anything XRP specific dragging it, the whole market's moody
speaking of moody. BTC slipped about 1.9% to roughly $76.7K Monday. Binance reopened withdrawals after the $6.3B hack and people pulled a net $3.64B. they say they've covered about 95% and the FBI pinned it on North Korea's TraderTraitor group. plus US midterms today so everyone's holding their breath
meanwhile Garlinghouse said at Swell he sees XRP as "the institutional gold standard for crypto rails" within five years. bold. I'll take it, but I care more about watching those RLUSD deals actually ship
