I feel like I'm loosing my mind. I suddenly remembered that there was a novel I read as a teen in which a large scale battle in a super mario bros. mmorpg was a serious and dramatic plot point(?), but no search term I'm attempting to use is leading me to it

The results came in, and I'm kinda stunned. From day 1 of working on this I set my expectations as low as possible, thinking that a puzzle game wouldn't compare to the action games I always do for jams. Thanks to everyone who supported me in trying something different 🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡
