Tip 5: Purchase a Good Tree Stand. A tree stand can last a lifetime so don’t be afraid to spend money on a good one.
Tip 4: Cut the Trunk before Placing in Water. This will allow the tree to take up water.
Tip 3: Make Sure the Tree is Freshly Cut. It’s important to purchase a fresh cut tree and get it home in water ASAP.
