States are essentially free to set tax policy as they see fit in the US. For fun, I took a screenshot of the instructions given by NYS DTF on how to complete this segment of the tax form. If you're wondering why taxing in the US is so complicated, this is partly why. If you're also wondering why people like states with no income tax, again, this is also why.

That’s what’s spooking them. At $65K in Arizona, one paycheck ($1938) is incapable of paying the mortgage which makes it somewhat risky, and that assumed 3% of pay going to a 401k and $50 bi-weekly health insurance contributions. They can rent and travel…or own a home.

IIRC, this is one of floor plans for the original Levittown houses. There’s a reason why they were expanded in the 1970s onward, and why the homes in their original state are seen as perfect tear downs. There’s latter has become rather controversial recently as most Levittown buyers can’t afford the cost of the replacements, and the buyers have skewed South Asian in what was traditionally a mostly white working class area…

@nobodyknows2322 This is one of the many reasons as to why Canadians feel uneasy about the US. youtu.be/eG_fXssxl_w?is=5Z-f…

I'm a DNC loyalist, but I can definitely see how this meme applies. I wonder if this is her attempt at testing the waters for a statewide run.
