That clapping by Reese in the ref’s face should have been an instant technical foul. No excuse. #WNBA

This is who the WNBA is trying to make the face of the league! Angel Reese may have set a record for most layups missed….part of her 2-12 shooting for the game! If overrated had a face, I think we know what it would look like!

The WNBA is not a sports league. Even Caitlin Clark can’t save it. Ratings stay dead, attendance stays empty, and the product stays political. They force it down our throats then wonder why nobody watches. One star doesn’t fix a broken product.

More viewers tuned in for the little league World Series championship game than for the WNBA finals. That’s 10-12 year old boys playing baseball.

Sprinting off the court for the national anthem? The WNBA is proving its ignorance. And it’s so sad.

The @WNBA players of the Atlanta Dream @AtlantaDream and Golden State @valkyries, who left the court and headed to the locker rooms during the U.S. national anthem in both Game 1 and Game 2 of the 2026 WNBA Finals, should be ineligible to play on the U.S. Women’s Olympic Basketball Team. The WNBA rulebook states that players, coaches, and trainers should stand and line up in a dignified posture along the sidelines or foul line during the national anthem.

BREAKING: WNBA Commissioner Cathy Engelbert in a letter to members of Congress about the eligibility of Enes Kanter Freedom and Royce White, Engelbert stated: “With respect to your questions regarding eligibility, only WOMEN are eligible to play in the WNBA and the individuals you cite in your letter are both men.” The letter did not define “women,” announce a new eligibility rule, or outline a broader policy on transgender athletes. What a bunch of hypocrites!

The WNBA rulebook explicitly requires players and coaches to stand along the sidelines for the national anthem. Yet during the Finals, both teams bolt to the locker room two games straight while Alanis Morissette performs, and the league office looks the other way. You cannot demand prime-time broadcast respect while refusing to enforce your own rulebook on national TV.

For the SECOND CONSECUTIVE GAME of the WNBA Finals, both the Atlanta Dream and Golden State Valkyries walked off the floor immediately before the national anthem and returned seconds after it ended. What basketball preparation requires disappearing for the exact duration of a two-minute anthem? The WNBA proudly promotes inclusivity, yet somehow cannot get its two championship teams to remain on the floor for the national anthem. The league even has a published rule calling for players and coaches to stand during its performance. At what point does the league recognize that its own actions are contributing to the division and alienation of the very fans it claims to welcome?

The WNBA’s own rulebook says players, coaches and trainers are to stand and line up for the national anthem. Both Finals teams left the court before the Game 1 anthem and returned seconds after it ended. We asked the league and both teams to explain. None answered.
