@BasisSet's excited to support @SakanaAILabs @hardmaru @YesThisIsLion Ren Ito, team of researchers from @GoogleDeepMind @StabilityAI @PreferredNetJP @tokyotech_en to build nature-inspired AI foundation models, as Asian character-based languages are different than Western languages. They're launching a research lab in Tokyo, Japan. Perhaps, once in a lifetime opportunity to shape the way we interact with AI globally. Swim different. 🐟🧠

Mamba forever. Winning is a mentality and transcends across sports and business. Djokovic didn't just win last night, but he won when he had the will to comeback after struggling with his injury, the same way Kobe did with his achilles. It's the obsession for greatness that drove Kobe's endless curiosity with every champion he met. He learned from Muhammad Ali that you have to work hard in the dark to shine in the light, while building your craft, such as rope-a-dope strategy against larger players. I feel like we @BasisSet and our founders such as @onequince live this everyday. Unbiased :), but we're pretty good at swag, and more to come!

Growing up in LA, it was hard to imagine LA would be a tech hub. There's still a long way to go, but with its recent tech companies, universities, proximity to SF, LA Tech Week, and AI transforming traditional industries (e.g. media, entertainment, SMB, finance, commerce, legal, real estate), this is an inflection point. Enjoy honing the craft alongside friends who are at the top of their game @chockley @imzhenniliu @epakravan @gabrignardello @karine_hsu @brentmurri @_idanlevy_ Adam Struck Evan Hamilton @alexpallny @drewtaggart @TheChainsmokers. Thank you @stokessamanthaj @BusinessInsider for putting LA on the map. Grateful for our founders who trust us with their life's work and the opportunity and all the teamwork that goes into everything we do, and more to come @xuezhao @BasisSet. Also, fully aware this article helps marketing. businessinsider.com/top-risi…

Reunion of old and new friends is LA Tech Week’s PMF 💡 The irony is that for how big LA is, people haven’t seen others for a while, because its vastness makes serendipity challenging. So this week gives the community an excuse to catch up with coworkers and even childhood and college friends. Personally, it was fun catching up with my and meet others' mafias - @Square @Cloudkitchens @FishSaucePod @USC @HarvardHBS @Uber @CockroachDB @tiktok_us @latimes @ServiceTitan hopefully others got to too! Flawless execution by our team with an incredible space and weather. Heard the feedback for more food for hungry founders next time! @tasniahuque @JedKatz @alex_gurevich @JavelinVP @PatrickLahue Ashley Levinson Adam Struck @StruckCapital @TaylorBolhack @du_ro @WonderVentures @prosperalaw @bridgebank @xuezhao @_Lisa_Chen_ @BasisSet @Techweek_ @KatiaAmeri Tbh, glad to knock this out early in the week, so we can enjoy the other events :)

Strength in numbers Closing AAPI May with an incredibly supportive community. Feb Lunar event with @garrytan seeded the community. May felt like hyper growth. Can’t imagine what the next few months will be like. Hang out with us, we don’t bite, unless there’s good food..

Special thanks for those who believed in us and our mission @FishSaucePod Christian Edwards, @lmiyamoto13 @patriciamou_ and @andychen @Chengdavid923 for intros and good vibes, and everyone who has listened and copped T-shirts! #AAPIsinTech2023 #TheInsider #AAPI

😇Fintech founder/operator asked about angel investing, which was a part of my journey into venture, so hopefully this can be relatable to builders curious about investing! 🧵👇why and less typos 🤦‍♂️ 1/6
