🌊OVERTAKEN BY THE OCEAN: Drone video shows part of Garden City Beach, South Carolina, underwater during King Tide flooding. Conditions will gradually begin to ease through the week. Watch FOX Weather for the latest coastal flood forecast:
The Highest area for Severe Storms Today is in portions of east-central Minnesota and west/central Wisconsin, including areas near the Minnesota/Wisconsin border.
Primary Hazards
- Tornadoes: Isolated tornado potential, especially with organized storms developing near frontal boundaries.
- Damaging Winds: Strong thunderstorms could produce locally damaging gusts.
- Large hail: Isolated severe hail possible.
Timing: Greatest concern is later this afternoon through the evening, particularly as the low-pressure system and associated cold front approach.
The tornado threat is conditional on sufficient instability developing. If clouds limit surface heating, severe coverage may remain limited despite favorable wind shear.
SPC has issued a Level 2 of 5 Slight Risk
