For the Japanese baseball player who is interested in the American route, this event is for you. For the Japanese player already playing JUCO in the US and looking for guidance & exposure for your next step, this event is for you, too. After the inaugural @FiveToolJP showcase this past January, 7 players were able to find new colleges in America (6 went from American college to American college with one ultimately finding a JUCO being from a Japan HS). We're hoping to provide a unique opportunity for those curious about baseball in America and for Japanese JUCO prospects. Really looking forward to this event coming up in Jan. '27.

This is my favorite success story and looking for a home. Sodai Takanaga (@sodaitakanaga) off to a hot start for @PadresCollege in the @FiveToolCollege league. The 5-7, 155-pound SS is 4-for-9 to start with a triple and double. Last year was 135 lbs. and only had one hit through first 11 games. Got with new hitting coach, picked up some knocks and then pushed himself in the gym. Now is 155 pounds!! Ended up being the starting shortstop and leadoff hitter for his NAIA hitting .338 with a .444 OBP. Continues to get better and better heading into his senior year now looking for a spot this fall. Kid just worked harder than anyone around. End of story. Originally out of Kumamoto, Japan. @FiveTool_Intl @FiveTool profile: fivetool.org/players/6601de9…
