My boyfriend got promoted, and I broke up with him three days later. We worked for the same company. I’d been there longer, stayed late more often, and spent months trying to get the position he eventually got. When he called to tell me the news, I congratulated him. I even took him out for dinner. But watching him celebrate something I’d wanted so badly made me feel sick. He started earning more than me, his manager praised him constantly, and suddenly he was giving me career advice I never asked for. The final straw was when he joked that I could finally let him pay for dinner since he was “the successful one” now. He meant it playfully. I didn’t take it that way. Three days later, I told him I didn’t think we were compatible anymore.

I think this scene debunks the fact that vibranium isn’t the strongest metal even in the MCU cause how did Thanos ripe that off without even using any of the infinity stones shouldn’t that have been impossible though??

I let him think he's taking advantage of me, but I actually enjoy it. I(f) have a roommate(m) and we hang out together a lot at night after work. We watch tv mostly, have binged several shows together and seen more movies than I can count. We often make food to share, and sometimes have drinks. Sometimes we lay together on the couch when we do these things and have gotten pretty close in the past. Neither of us ever made a move though Then one night like 8 months ago, we both drank a little more than usual and got closer than we normally do. Basically, we ended up having sex and falling asleep together on the couch. In the morning, he wasn't there though and had already left for work, which wasn't all that weird. From my point of view our night together was amazing, and I was thinking about it all day. But the when we both got home again later, he didn't bring it up and didn't act any different. It confused me, so I didn't bring it up either, but felt like there was a weird elephant in the room. I summed it up to maybe him thinking it was just some kind of drunken mistake and was embarrassed it happened. Honestly, it disappointed me, but I figured it was best just to move on. Things went back to normal.

Look at your life. You may once have trekked because you lacked transport fare. You begged for palm oil just to cook oil rice. You begged for kerosene to put in your stove. You begged for seasoning cubes just to make your dry food taste better. You were saved from accidents multiple times. You had a life-threatening illness and were near death. Your parents were unable to pay your school fees. You were unable to pay school fees for your children. You went to bed hungry. Your children or parents were sick and near death. You were jobless and always in want. You were stuck in unhealthy habits. Your life was heading in a direction you didn't understand. You were lost and unsaved. You may have gone through one or several of the above, yet here you are today, still alive and better. You may not be where you desire to be, but you are no longer mentioned in the list above. The little progress you have made is reason enough to be grateful and to trust your Maker. If you will continue to trust the Giver of life and the Maker of all things, and live a life of continued gratitude to Him, He will guide you and take you further in life.

I’ve worked the night shift at a private bank in London since 2004. In twenty-two years, I’ve cleaned offices belonging to millionaires, politicians, and executives who couldn’t even remember the names of the people who emptied their bins. But one mystery followed me for almost a decade. Every Monday morning, I found a £50 note underneath the CEO’s desk. The CEO, Mr. Richard Collins, was one of the wealthiest men in the building. He drove a black Bentley, wore handmade Italian suits, and rarely spoke to anyone below management level. At first, I thought the money had fallen out of his pocket. I handed it to reception. The following Monday, another £50 appeared. Then another. After six months, I began leaving the notes exactly where I found them. One night, I stayed behind to investigate. At 1:40 a.m., I heard the lift doors open. An elderly woman stepped out carrying a plastic shopping bag. She wore an old brown coat and walked slowly toward the CEO’s office. I watched from behind a filing cabinet as she entered the room, placed a £50 note beneath the desk, and sat in the CEO’s chair. Then she began to cry. “I did what you asked, Richard,” she whispered. “I brought it again.” I stepped into the doorway. “Madam, this floor is restricted.” She looked at me without surprise. “You must be the new cleaner.” “I’ve worked here for sixteen years.” She nodded sadly. “Then you’ve been here long enough to know that Richard doesn’t work here anymore.” I frowned. “Mr. Collins is in his office every morning.” The woman slowly shook her head. “Richard Collins died in 2015.” I laughed nervously. “That’s impossible. I spoke to him yesterday.” She reached into her shopping bag and pulled out a newspaper clipping. The headline read: BANKING EXECUTIVE FOUND DEAD IN PRIVATE OFFICE. The photograph showed Richard Collins. The date was October 12, 2015. I stared at the woman. “Who are you?” “My name is Margaret Collins. I was his mother.” She explained that Richard had died suddenly at the age of forty-two. The bank had kept his death quiet while the board settled his affairs. According to the official report, he had suffered a heart attack. But Margaret didn’t believe it. For years, she’d returned to the building every Monday night to leave £50 beneath his desk. “Why the money?” I asked. She wiped her eyes. “Because every Monday, when Richard was a little boy, I gave him £50 for his school expenses. I stopped when he became successful. He told me he didn’t need my money anymore.” She looked at the empty chair. “I promised him I’d never stop giving him something.” I felt a lump in my throat. Then she said something that made the room feel suddenly colder. “Did he ever ask you to clean the bottom drawer?” I shook my head. She pointed toward the desk. “Look inside.” The bottom drawer was locked. I fetched a key from the maintenance cupboard and opened it. Inside was a thick folder labelled OCTOBER 2015 — INTERNAL INVESTIGATION. The first page listed several suspicious transfers from the bank. The second contained the names of three senior executives. The third page had my name on it. I stepped back. “I’ve never worked in banking. I clean the offices.” Margaret looked at me carefully. “Your father did.” My father had died when I was eleven. All I knew was that he’d worked in an office before losing his job and moving our family into a smaller flat. I turned the page. There was a photograph of my father standing beside Richard Collins. Underneath it, someone had written: THE ORIGINAL WHISTLEBLOWER. I read the documents until my hands began to shake. My father had uncovered a scheme involving stolen customer funds. Before he could report it, he was accused of fraud and dismissed. The case destroyed his reputation. He died believing nobody had ever believed him. But Richard had kept the evidence. And three days before his death, he’d written a letter addressed to me.

She was already half-asleep when he came to bed, the sheets cool against her bare legs. He didn’t speak. He just slid in behind her and fit his body to hers, chest to her back, one arm resting lightly across her waist. For a moment he stayed still, letting her settle into the warmth of him. Then his hand moved slow, open-palmed over the soft skin of her stomach. He traced the line of her hip with his fingertips, barely touching, just enough for her to feel the drag of his skin against hers. She sighed and pressed back into him. His mouth found the curve of her shoulder. He kissed her there once, then again, lower, lips parted so she could feel the heat of his breath. His hand drifted higher, cupping the weight of her breast, thumb brushing over her nipple in a slow, lazy circle until it tightened under his touch. “Mmm,” she breathed. Nothing more. He stayed like that, mouth moving in soft, unhurried kisses along her neck while his fingers continued their gentle work rolling, stroking, pausing whenever her breath hitched so he could feel the way she reacted. His other hand slid down between her thighs, not pushing, just resting there, warm and heavy, letting her decide how close she wanted him. She shifted, opening for him a little. His fingers followed, stroking once along the outside of her underwear, then again, slower, feeling the damp heat through the fabric. He didn’t rush to move it aside. He just kept touching her like that, light and steady, while his lips stayed at her ear. “You’re so warm,” he murmured. She reached back and threaded her fingers through his hair, holding him against her neck. Every slow stroke of his hand sent a soft pulse through her. She could feel him hard against her, but he didn’t grind. He just stayed close, breathing with her, fingers moving in the same patient rhythm until her hips started to rock into his touch on their own. The rain had stopped. The only sound left was the quiet shift of sheets and the soft, broken breaths she couldn’t quite hold in. His fingers finally slipped beneath the fabric. And stayed there. Not moving yet. Just resting against her, letting her feel exactly how ready she was for him while his mouth continued its slow path along her skin like he had all night, and intended to use every second of it.

For three years, Marcus paid for everything in his girlfriend’s life. Her rent, designer bags, vacations, shopping sprees, and even the business she had always dreamed of starting. Whenever she needed money, he sent it without asking questions. He believed they were building a future together. But when Marcus discovered she had been secretly seeing another man, he ended the relationship. Then he did something she never expected. He calculated every dollar he had spent on her over three years and sent her a spreadsheet. The total was $85,000. “I want my money back,” he told her. “Every dollar. I spent that money believing we were building a future together, and you made a fool of me.” She laughed. “Did I force you to buy me anything? Did I hold a gun to your head when you paid my rent? You wanted to spoil me, and I enjoyed it. That’s not my problem.” Marcus reminded her that he had sacrificed his savings to support her lifestyle. Her response was even more shocking. “Let’s be honest. You enjoyed sleeping with me for three years. I gave you my time, my body, and my companionship. You got something out of this relationship, too. So why should I refund you now that you’re no longer getting what you want?” Marcus was furious. “You were my girlfriend, not a prostitute. I never paid you to sleep with me. I did those things because I loved you!” She folded her arms. “And I never signed a contract promising to pay you back.” Marcus took her to court, convinced that the evidence of his spending would settle the matter. But when the judge asked whether the money had been given as loans or gifts, Marcus struggled to produce any agreement requiring repayment. His ex-girlfriend sat confidently beside her lawyer. Then the judge asked one final question: “Mr. Marcus, if this woman had remained faithful to you, would you still be asking for every dollar back?” The courtroom went silent. Because Marcus knew his answer would change everything. WHO IS WRONG HERE: THE MAN WHO EXPECTED HIS GENEROSITY TO BE REWARDED WITH LOYALTY, OR THE WOMAN WHO ACCEPTED HIS MONEY BUT REFUSED TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR HIS EXPECTATIONS?
