One thing I’m 100% sure of is that no man would leave the woman he loves to travel by bus while he comfortably takes a flight.
Imagine traveling 12 hours by road from Lagos to Cross River State, only for your family to reject your fiancée because she chose to fly.
A man travelled from Lagos to Ogoja, Cross River State, to introduce his girlfriend to his family before their court wedding.
He took a night bus to Abakaliki, then boarded another bus to Ogoja. Despite the exhausting journey, he was happy that his family was finally going to meet the woman he intended to marry.
But when his girlfriend mentioned that she had flown from Lagos to Calabar and waited at a hotel for him to arrive, the atmosphere changed.
His family immediately labelled her selfish. According to them, how could she fly while her man travelled by road?

I don't know if you people dont think.
He is coming to present you to his family, but you arrived first. You end up introducing yourself and when they ask for their son, you say he is on the road, that you arrived early because you came by flight. How does that sound to you, if you have any iota of sense? I hate to say "flip it" but some of you are too stupid that the only way to understand this madness is to flip the gender.
"I don't expect him to pay for my flight"
She is still seeing her money as her money. If as a couple, you cannot afford flight for two, take the road. If you want to make the sacrifice to take flight, you make it for two. Whatever you're doing in relationship, you must consider your partner first. It is really just common sense.
The men who cannot understand this are the ones who are still afraid to see a woman's income as family income. The women who cant see this, are the selfish brats that know nothing about commitment.

The is exactly the problem with "my money is my money." He is probably more focused on other important bills, so he is willing to go by road to save cost. She is busy taking flight because even her bills are usually carried by him. You might want to argue that she is richer than him. Anyhow you want to frame their reality, the whole relationship is an eyesore.
