Flare gives developers built-in access to two things applications usually have to source elsewhere: prices and proofs of external events.
FTSO handles decentralized price data, while FDC verifies supported events outside Flare, including activity on other chains.
Flare Confidential Compute extends this further. Sensitive or heavy logic can run in hardware-secured environments and return a result that contracts can verify onchain.
That means a developer can start from verified data, run logic that does not belong in public execution, and use the result inside an application without stitching together a separate oracle, verification and confidential compute stack.
XRPFi is already one example of what this architecture enables.
Data first. Compute next. Then the applications neither could support alone.
The onchain cover protecting Kraken’s USDC vault is built on @FlareNetworks and backed by staked FXRP.
Unique XRP role: holders providing the capital that absorbs defined DeFi risks (exploits, oracle failures, etc.) while earning from the vault yield.
Kraken DeFi Earn users can now access a Sentora-curated USDC vault with Firelight cover natively embedded. Vaults have become the way institutional platforms bring clients onchain. They now hold more than $15B in TVL, but protection hasnt kept pace: onchain cover across DeFi is about $123.7M, roughly 0.14% of total TVL.
A protected vault separates the job into layers, each run by a specialist:
1. Curators like @SentoraHQ select the markets, set allocation limits and leverage, and decide when to rebalance.
2. Vault infrastructure providers like @veda_labs and @upshift_fi supply the contracts and tooling for deposits, withdrawals, share accounting and strategy execution, and natively embed the cost of cover into the vault, so users see it in the net rate with no separate billing.
3. @Firelightfi prices and backs cover across each market/strategy, its dependencies and the vault contracts, with rates fixed and published onchain for each 30-day period.
4. Platforms like @krakenfx provide access inside its existing earn flow.
5. If a covered incident happens, theres no claim to file. Affected positions are included automatically, an independent Risk Consortium of five firms (@HypernativeLabs, @CredoraNetwork , @nativeinsurance, @labsGFX, @cyfrin) validates the loss, and stablecoin payouts can route directly to depositors through distribution solutions like @merkl_xyz.
The result is a platform that can tell its users exactly which failures are covered and how theyd be made whole, before they deposit. We think this specialist-led structure becomes the standard way onchain yield reaches a broader audience.

I’ve been working with Flares FCC (TEE’s) also; can’t wait to tell more soon…
Last week, I worked a lot with Flare Confidential Compute. Of course, to set it up, it requires more steps to deploy the TEE, but oh boy, what doors does it open. I can't wait to tell you more very soon. Basically, now the limit is only your imagination.
See you at @EFDevcon 🫡

Secured by FXRP.
We’ve partnered with @upshift_fi to bring onchain protection to vault infrastructure.
Protection is live on @SentoraHQ’s Protected USD and Protected RWA vaults, built on Upshift’s infrastructure, creating vault operators a path to on-chain coverage.

Flare’s approach to XRP interoperability goes much further than simply bridging XRP into another ecosystem.
The @XRP starts on XRPL. Flare turns it into FXRP through FAssets, with the underlying XRP still backing it.
FXRP can then move to @ethereum through its OFT setup and be used as collateral in Morpho, where borrowers access RLUSD liquidity.
So the credit market can live on Ethereum while XRP stays native to XRPL and @FlareNetworks handles the layer that makes the asset programmable and portable.

1/ The GENIUS Act regulates digital dollars. It shouldn’t regulate the imagination of those who use them.
On Flare, @Kinetic_Markets, @SparkDexAI and @Firelightfi show what happens when builders turn digital assets into useful financial services.
My earlier take:
xitter.cf/tbukher/status/2113037…
1/ The GENIUS Act promised regulatory clarity for stablecoins. The OCC’s final rule delivers it for issuers, but leaves DeFi in limbo.
It drops a presumption against third-party yield while refusing a DeFi safe harbor.
Legal certainty for issuing digital dollars. Regulatory discretion for using them.

FXRP is the first proof that the model works:
→ 52% of deployed FXRP sits in lending markets, mostly as collateral, and 39% in liquid staking
→ FXRP now reaches seven networks beyond Flare
→ Regulated custodians can mint it directly from the XRP Ledger
The machinery behind it works for any asset whose native chain lacks smart contracts, and FBTC is next.
Flare is also applying the same data layer to information that can't be made public. Confidential Compute's first application is stablecoin proof of reserves, where private reserve data goes into secure hardware, and a signed result showing whether the token is fully backed comes out onchain. Fund NAVs, private credit, and compliance checks can follow the same path.
Our new report sets out more milestones to watch:
→ FBTC going live and Confidential Compute reaching mainnet
→ More custodians minting FXRP and more venues accepting it as collateral
→ Fees and burn growing enough to offset FLR issuance

XRP can now secure credit on Ethereum while its backing remains on XRPL.
Flare built the interoperability layer that makes that possible.
