Pastor Coates has been fined $1500 and is eligible for release today. Judge admonished Coates though saying Coates actions jeopardized the public. "He referred to being a shepherd and a shepherd ought to protect his flock."

Pastor James Cotes has pleaded guilty to failing to comply with an undertaking. Crown and defence agreed on a $100 fine and 1 day in custody. Judge is now considering options. He called this the "absolute minimum" and worries it won't deter anyone from ignoring health orders.

Pastor Coates has addressed the court saying he's not trying to make a statement with this case. He's not a political revolutionary. He says he's just trying to be obedient to Jesus Christ.
