I believe in open spaces where anyone can set the agenda. Not spaces dominated by a few voices who think they set the agenda.
Migrating to my academia Twitter for a while. This account feed is 20% drama but that 20% is full of more piping hot shit than a latrine on curry night and it's so amplified it's irritating, taxing to think about. My academic account is @EarthEmpress91 if you dig energy studies.
I've met a varied range of amazingly generous and kind activists through Twitter but I'm getting sick of these insular self aggrandizing cliquey milieus, the 1% of the movement(s) who freeride off the back of the unprivileged anti imperial grassroots for reputation and cred. Yuck
Excuse me for not giving a fuck that people who cheer cancer, freeride off the anti imperial movement to make it look like they're leading it get put in tweet jail for being aggro. Nor am I bothering to check responses to my alt point of view because the culties will obvs attack.

Gonna sing this for my BGT audition. It's a nice moment when your voice finally starts projecting and it's when you're singing Gloomy Sunday.
[ms3g11_star208] sings Gloomy Sunday by Billie Holiday, what an incredible voice on Voice!

We talked to Angela Davis, whose bond Franklin offered to post in 1970, about how Aretha ‘helped to shape and deepen a collective consciousness anchored in a yearning for freedom.’ bit.ly/2nHaRRJ

Today we've lost one of the world's most wonderful singers, Aretha Franklin.
Her music is moving and full of hope. Respect was an inspirational anthem in the civil rights and feminist movements.
Listen to her live at Filmore West, California.
