Outside a storefront, a young guy goes forehead to forehead with an older man who is holding grocery bags. A second later the young guy is on the pavement, and the old man walks off with his bags.
Look at the bags. He never even set down the groceries.
Every generation has this guy who thinks gray hair means easy. That man has probably been handling loudmouths since before this kid was born. He didn't yell and he didn't chase him. One move, then back to his errands.
I'm not cheering for anybody hitting the ground that hard. He stays down a while, and that part isn't funny. But once you put your head on a stranger's forehead, you've already started the fight.
I'm raising two boys. Rule one is respect your elders. Rule two is especially respect the quiet one holding the groceries.
The groceries made it home fine.

This guy killed a 21 year old.
Got 15 years.
He walked free in 2025.
14 months later he shot a SC deputy multiple times.
Morris Laytrell Dorch, 39, is charged with attempted murder after Aiken County Deputy Preston Metts was shot during a traffic stop.
Oct. 21, around 11:30pm, Deputy Metts stopped a Hyundai Tucson.
The sheriff says a passenger got out and ran into the woods.
Metts chased him.
He allegedly opened fire, hitting Metts in the both legs, the hand, and the chest.
SLED says an AR-style gun was recovered at the scene.
The driver of the Tucson, Teondra Coleman, drove off.
Oct. 23, Dorch was arrested in Jacksonville, FL, with a gunshot wound to the foot, according to SLED.
Dorch is charged with: attempted murder, possession of a firearm during a violent crime and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
The driver of the Tucson, Coleman, was charged with misprision of a felony and failure to stop for blue lights.
So, what about Dorch's history?
2006: age 19, he racked up 7 cases in Aiken County, including marijuana possession and possession of a cocaine base.
2007: Picked up another case. Then charged with the murder of Prince E. Shand, Jr., at large for over a year.
2010: Murder charge dismissed for lack of indictment.
Dec. 2012: Two more cases, one dismissed. Then, charged with the murder of Delance Walton, 21.
He was allowed to plead guilty to voluntary manslaughter and attempted murder.
He got 15 years.
Aug. 29, 2025: He was reportedly released from prison.
Oct, 21, 2026: Deputy Metts was shot.
A career criminal almost killed a deputy after at least 2 more deaths allegedly at his hands.

ACLU Cries Foul Over ICE Arrest of Amazon Driver in Broomfield, Colorado
Newly released security camera footage shows ICE agents boxing in and arresting an Amazon delivery driver at a Broomfield apartment complex on September 21.
The ACLU says agents were looking for someone else and grabbed the wrong man. But read their own statement closely. After the arrest, ICE held him at the Aurora detention facility and put him in removal proceedings. You don't land in removal proceedings because of mistaken identity. You land there when you're in the country illegally.
And how did it end? According to the ACLU, he has since left the country. That's exactly how it's supposed to work.
The ACLU wants you to call this "lawless." It isn't. Agents stopped a vehicle, made an arrest, and the immigration system did its job. The only people hiding from the law here are the ones driving delivery routes in a country they have no legal right to be in.
Activist lawyers have spent a year in court trying to tie the hands of federal agents with lawsuits and paperwork. Meanwhile ICE keeps doing what Americans voted for: finding people who are here illegally and sending them home.
I've reached out to DHS for a statement on the incident.

A $21 vape pen. A 16-year-old dead. And a mother fighting to make sure it doesn’t happen again.
Andrew Meismer was stabbed to death at his Texas high school after an argument over a missing THC vape pen. An 18-year-old student was charged with his murder.
Now Andrew’s mother, Rebecca Meismer, is fighting for legislation called Andrew’s Law, which would require serious school assaults to be reported to law enforcement and investigated.
Think about what this mother is going through. She sent her son to school expecting him to come home. Instead, she’s planning a future without him.
And rather than simply grieving, she’s trying to protect other families from experiencing the same tragedy.
No parent should have to bury a child because of violence at school.
If Andrew’s Law can help prevent even one family from going through this, his mother’s fight will have made a difference.

The reaction to ICE is how I imagined Democrats reacting in the 1800s when they heard Republicans planned to end slavery. The party of the plantation owners screamed about their way of life, and now its voters are screaming about losing their cheap illegal immigrant workers.
Republicans voted for the 13th Amendment in 1865, and Republicans are the ones enforcing immigration law today.
The party fighting for cheap labor never changed.. Only the labor did.
