As many have been asking, what role did Hopwood Hall College play, if any, in the decision to terminate the successful 7-year rescue of historic Hopwood Hall? In 2015, Hopwood Hall College declined the opportunity to purchase the abandoned Hopwood Hall for £1. By 2024, the Hall had been brought back into use by the community and was on its way to being fully restored and open to the public. Then suddenly, the community was locked out.

Was Rochdale Council's Cabinet misled? Who provided the information that recommended Councillors vote to terminate the seven-year community-led rescue of historic Hopwood Hall Estate?

SHOCKING COUNCIL AUDIO REVEALED! What do newly uncovered audio recordings reveal about the controversial decision to end the 7-year, community-led rescue of historic Hopwood Hall Estate in Middleton, England? Have a listen and let us know thoughts!

● IN THE INTEREST OF TRANSPARENCY — OUR OPEN LETTER TO ROCHDALE COUNCIL: Yesterday we sent this Open Letter to Cllr Neil Emmott, Leader of Rochdale Council, following his recent public remarks that his door remains open to working with us. We also shared it with every elected councillor whose email address we could locate. X limits the number of images so if you would like to see the attachments please check our other social media sites @HopwoodXIV. We hope to find a positive path forward to continue our rescue of Hopwood Hall Estate. Thank you for your support.

WHO actually wrote Rochdale Council's report that brought our 7-year mission to rescue Hopwood Hall Estate to an end? The senior Council official named on the report told the court he didn't write it. So who did? Our team is investigating serious questions about the information presented to Rochdale Council's Cabinet, including what we believe were significant inaccuracies and omissions concerning years of restoration work, funding successes and community achievements.

An inspiring and fun evening at Historic England's Annual Reception at Lambeth Palace in London last night. Great to connect with so many friends in such a beautiful building!

The Hopwood Foundation is incredibly grateful to have been recognised in Parliament for our heritage skills training programme in prisons. Teaching these valuable skills to prisoners can help fill the workforce shortage and ensure the sustainability of the UK's historic buildings, whilst helping to rehabilitate prisoners for brighter futures with well-paid, creative jobs.

Prime Minister's Visit to Hopwood Hall Estate: Congratulations to Andy Burnham on becoming Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. We are very grateful for his support of our rescue of Hopwood Hall in Middleton, England.
