🟥 Oh, what a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to deceive… 😄😄 The Conservative MP from Oklahoma, representing Calgary Nose HILL, Michelle Rempel Garner, has embarrassingly exposed her deceitfulness here. 🤷🏻‍♂️ In fact, she has demonstrated the typical Conservative modus operandi – to criticize and criticize and accuse, but never provide any substitute proposals or alternatives. Because ... they don’t have any. Zero solutions. 🫴🏻0⃣ They only exist to slam and slander, while providing no substance, nor solutions. Rempel Garner is the so-called Conservative “shadow minister” for immigration. She takes that role to mean attacking immigrants and related government policies, 24/7. 😞 Because she believes ANTI-IMMIGRANT sentiment is a tiger that conservatives can triumphantly ride into a future election. 🐅 🗳️ What she won’t tell you is that it is impossible for a modern, high-income, developed nation NOT to try to attract immigrants. She knows, as well as anyone with common sense and in a position of responsible leadership knows – we need to attract immigrants EVERY year… Rempel Garner pretends to be an expert on immigration but when asked for HER suggested figures, she has nothing. She’s no expert – merely an attack dog. 🙄 She criticizes the government’s immigration levels plan but won’t say how many immigrants SHE thinks should be permitted?? Because she knows the government number is based on extensive research. ◾️ She KNOWS the combination of low fertility rates in Canada combined with the large Baby Boomer generation rapidly reaching retirement age, means we need to attract active workers to replace them. ◾️ She KNOWS that in order to preserve Canada’s tax base (because public services such as healthcare, public education, pensions (CPP), and infrastructure, are funded by income taxes paid by working-age individuals), we need immigrants. As the domestic population ages, healthcare costs skyrocket. A growing tax base created by working newcomers helps fund healthcare for an aging society. ◾️ She KNOWS that Canada faces critical labour and sectoral shortages, and that immigrants fill vital roles across the entire spectrum of Canada’s economy. ◾️ She KNOWS that over 25% of healthcare workers (including doctors, nurses, and home care aids) are foreign-born. ◾️ She KNOWS that nearly 20% of skilled trade workers in construction are over 55 and nearing retirement. Canada relies on immigrant tradespeople and engineers to build new housing and transportation networks. ◾️ She KNOWS that over 50% of Canada’s software engineers and chemists, and a major portion of university-educated talent in tech, are immigrants. ◾️ She KNOWS that immigrants and temporary workers comprise a critical portion of agricultural, food processing, and truck transportation workforces. ◾️ She KNOWS that newcomers start businesses at higher rates than native-born Canadians, and that around 1 in 3 Canadian business owners are immigrants, creating local jobs across tech, retail, food services, and professional services. ◾️ She KNOWS that skilled immigrants are vital for Canada’s global competitiveness. She just pretends not to know any of this. Because it’s easier to stir up anti-immigrant sentiment and gain supporters when her base doesn’t know the FACTS. When asked what an appropriate number of immigrants would be annually, in HER view ... she refused to give a number. Why? Why didn’t she say “zero”? 🤷🏻‍♂️ Why didn’t she say “10 000”? 🤷🏻‍♂️ It’s because she KNOWS that the only credible, research-based response, is 300 000-400 000 Permanent Residents. But she can’t say that because she’ll confuse and piss off her base, after telling them for 5 years that Canada doesn’t need nor want immigrants! 😌🤦🏻‍♂️ This current crop of Conservative MPs should never form a government. It would be absolute chaos!!

Canada's deficit numbers deserve a closer look. The 2025 budget projected $78.3B for 2025–26. The preliminary actual came in at $39.3B. Budget 2026 now projects $62.3B for 2026–27. Here's the comparison. 🇨🇦 #cdnpoli

You're never get me to vote for your party if you are unwilling to articulate a policy alternative. It was a very specific question that should have been a softball. She made some great points but didn't tell me what specifically her party would limit that to.
Things got a little heated during Mike Le Couteur's interview with Michelle Rempel Garner on last night's Power Play.

The reaction by the Conservative right wing to correctly pointing out Harper government expanded #TFW in 2006. Wow. #cdnpoli

Buh-bye Bibi. Eisenkot may offer better accountability, stronger democratic institutions and a less confrontational approach to allies. But on Palestinians, he's still a security hawk opposed to statehood. Different Bibi, perhaps. Not a fundamentally different Israel.

I read Mélenchon's manifesto. As always, there are some good social policy proposals, but they're overshadowed by total fiscal irresponsibility and the delusions surrounding pensioners, who aren't exactly the people voting for him. How can you seriously defend a retirement age of 60? Lmao.

"JD, habibi" became an instant viral trend across America The trend was sparked by Democrat Abdul El-Sayed during his election night victory speech in Detroit. Upon winning his race to become the first Muslim American elected to the US Senate, El-Sayed used his speech to playfully jab at US Vice President JD Vance

#France is deeply disillusioned. People are struggling and losing faith in politics. Neither Mélenchon nor Le Pen offers the answers France needs. One sells ideological promises, the other fear and division. France needs credible leadership, not political extremes. 🇫🇷

It doesn't need a presidential campaign built on the assumption that every problem can be solved by promising another benefit, another tax, another entitlement or another constitutional revolution.

And perhaps the most important question for French voters in 2027: Who is going to pay for all of this, what will it cost the French economy, and what happens when the promises collide with reality? #France
