Bryan Cranston has written a tribute for his ‘Breaking Bad’ on-screen son RJ Mitte who tragically passed away due to suicide.
“We were texting each other just a few weeks ago - figuring out when we could meet for lunch. I don't know if that lunch would have changed his future... But I do know that I loved him.”
The headlines will move on. Our commitment to suicide awareness continues.

RJ Mitte helped others feel seen. Let’s carry that kindness forward.

Actor RJ Mitte, who rose to fame playing Walter "Flynn" White Jr. on the hit series "Breaking Bad," has died at age 34.
His on-screen dad, Bryan Cranston, said he was “in deep despair,” adding that Mitte used his own experience as an actor with cerebral palsy “to be a vocal advocate for performers with disabilities.”
Let this conversation continue beyond today.

Somewhere, someone watched RJ Mitte on screen and finally saw someone like themselves.
That kind of representation matters. His talent and advocacy deserve to be remembered.
Rest in peace, RJ. Thank you for helping others feel seen.
RJ Mitte used his platform to help people with disabilities feel seen and represented.
That deserves to be remembered and carried forward.
Our Walter community is here to keep compassion, inclusion, and suicide awareness in the conversation.
The world lost a powerful voice in @RjMitte, and I lost a friend who inspired me.
RJ had cerebral palsy, and he played Walter White Jr. on Breaking Bad. He got through the door, and then he held it open for people with disabilities.
I'll miss how kind he was.
My heart is with his mom, his sister, and everyone close to him tonight.
If you want to honor RJ, hold the door open for others who might otherwise find it shut.
For Walter, and for everyone quietly struggling.
Check on the friend who always says “I’m good.” Make time to listen. Let them know they matter.
