🚨Daily Mail has obtained the latest attempt by the City of Uvalde to keep public documents related to the death of Congressional aide Regina Aviles secret— documents the public is entitled to see and that police departments normally share. In the letter on behalf of the Uvalde Police Department to the TX attorney general’s office, the lawyer makes the case that Aviles’s family does NOT want the information released due to “information is comprised of highly intimate or embarrassing facts.” Uvalde’s lawyer also says “the investigation by law enforcement now appears likely to be closed in the near future without resulting in criminal prosecution against any person” but continues the make the case the records should be withheld. Uvalde also claims there is no public interest in this case. Last week, Daily Mail reported Aviles, who set herself on fire in her back yard, allegedly had an affair with her boss, Congressman Tony Gonzales.
