When fear filled that cabin on FZ1073, eight flydubai crew members stood between 174 strangers and harm, and they stayed. Today MBZ honored them with the First Class Order of Zayed II. Think about what they gave up in that moment, the instinct to save themselves, the right to freeze like most people would. They chose duty over fear and gave strangers the one thing no one could take back, the chance to go home to their families. A nation that honors that kind of courage tells every citizen that character is judged under pressure, and that it will always stand with those who protect others. Societies fall apart when everyone waits for someone else to act. The UAE just showed what it looks like when people act, and when the state remembers them for it.
MENA Unleashed blocked me. A page confident enough to predict the collapse of an entire country cannot handle a single response. That says everything about how strong their case really is.
So here is the answer they are hiding from.
They claim Emiratis are afraid. Anyone who lived through this March knows the truth. When missiles and drones were fired at our country, President Mohamed bin Zayed addressed everyone who calls the UAE home and said that in the UAE, everyone is Emirati through their love for this land and their contributions to it. He called our residents part of our family. That one sentence carried the entire nation and reassured every household that it was safe. The loyalty that answered him from citizens and residents alike was overwhelming.
That is the social contract they will never understand. They measure belonging only by passports and votes. Here belonging is built on reciprocity, a state that protects every person on its soil and a community that answers that protection with trust. Legitimacy is earned through performance, and this state performs every single day.
Residents here can hold ten year Golden Visas, own freehold property, sponsor their families and keep every dirham they earn with no personal income tax. Since 2023 most workers are covered by national unemployment insurance, so losing a job does not mean losing a future. That is what comprehensive policy and an efficient government produce.
Our residents built this country beside us. They are our family, and we treat them as family.
Their whole post is projection, a collapse they wish for, dressed up as analysis. France burned because its institutions lost their authority. The UAE stood firm under fire because its people never lost faith in it.
Btw, Iāve seen a lot on my tl that residents are ready to fight for the UAE if theyāre given the chance lol
Sit this one out.
A 143 year old town hall in Limoges, gone. Built in 1883, it stood through generations, and masked vandals burned it in a single afternoon. The tower roof came down into the flames while the people responsible cheered. It is disgusting, it is shameful, and it is painful to watch history be taken down like this. In fact, in Lyon, they blocked firefighters from saving a 174 year old pavilion as it burned. More than 900 officers injured, cars torched, shops looted, and a government too weak to stop it. A state that cannot defend its own heritage is failing its own people. And BTW, who are France's people nowadays? Because Palestinian flags were carried through the looting and vandalism in several cities, and Algerian flags were reported beside them in Paris. So, do not tell us mass migration and integration are not part of this conversation. France is paying for years of cowardice with its own history.
A letter to Captain Smit,
On behalf of the entire world, you are the greatest hero on that flight. Courage is what a person does when everything is at stake, and you gave every passenger a tomorrow. Heroes deserve peace of mind after saving the world, and you have earned every bit of it.
The UAE will always look after its loved ones, its residents. You, your wife and your children are part of this home, and this home stands beside you. Your gratitude honors us.
Rest, heal and know that the whole world is proud of you. May you heal.
Excellence becomes a national character when it is practiced until it turns into habit. The UAE shows a rare coherence, with energy, industry, technology and artificial intelligence all serving one vision, and that vision serving people. Technology here protects human dignity and extends human ability. Power works through partnership, and ambition is measured by what it builds for others. A society that invests in cohesion, sustainability and trust understands that prosperity is what a nation becomes as much as what it owns. The future belongs to those who shape it with patience, purpose and confidence, and the UAE is doing exactly that.
If my brother goes on the media and says āmy sisterās tweets are not seriousā to protect his campaign, I would be fuming. I mean imagine his sister spending years feeling so deeply about the Muslim Brotherhood and supporting Morsi in Egypt, narrating it as nostalgia. And then celebrating Oct 7th, which was done by the Palestinian arm of the Muslim Brotherhood, all for her brother to say sheās not seriousā¦

Ban terrorists and terrorism supporters, protect your childrenās future. The Muslim Brotherhood is banned and listed as a terrorist organization in the UAE and Egypt btw.
My thoughts on flydubai FZ1073 on @TimesNow. UAE investigators have confirmed a premeditated terrorist plot to hijack the aircraft and crash it into Ben Gurion Airportās passenger terminal. Captain Smit Machchhar is a true hero whose extraordinary courage helped save countless lives. I have full confidence in the UAEās judicial system to pursue every lead, establish accountability, and ensure justice is served. Terrorism will never find safe haven in the UAE.
