FOST continues to work with vulnerable women in equipping them economically so as to strengthen their resilience. Through the Self-Help Group Approach, a type of mukando that promotes community banking of as little as $0.50 as capital, borrowing of the amount needed to make a
wise investment into a project.
Meet Gladys who invested in the breeding of rabbits (tsuro) as a way to earn a living. This project has helped Gladys to pay fees for her children, provide basics for the family with enough surplus to utilize for the months that follow.
From Garden to Livelihood: Showcasing the success of the FOST Low Input Gardening Scheme, one of the granny farmers at Mikona Farm ward 3,Bindura, highlights the bountiful harvest that supports food nutrition and enhanced livelihoods in the community for vulnerable children.
he Community Health Clubs graduations gave the club members an opportunity to show case how they implemented the project. This is an illustration of the Tamuka Health Club mapping on cloth as well as model of their village.
The illustration highlighted the resources that they have within the community, their physical and notable achievements and places that present with challenges. Through this, the communities are able to navigate the challenges with the support of partners.

OST has managed to support orphans and vulnerable children in the current operating districts through fees payments and provision of stationery. This motivates children to stay in school as well as enhances their performance!
