I see and hear a few people saying they think defcons are boring and are "not going to do that". I would suggest if the game changes, you also should change. It's all very well being married to your idea of what FPL should be but if you dont like the new game, wouldn't it be better to quit than to concede an advantage. If the goal is to do as well as possible of course. If that's not the goal then sure, you do you. That's like me saying in snakes and ladders now you only need to go half way down a snake when you land on it and you saying "I dont like that its not for me" but then rather than join in and adapt or not play at all you decide to play but contine to ride the snakes all the way down and I only go half way. You concede an advantage on principle. Fpl once had overpowered full backs who got bonus due to spam crosses with no returns. We got them in. FPL once had man in the stand bonus award (motm). We got these guys in. FPL had overpowered fwds who got max bns having done nothing all game bar one penalty. We got them in. By all means tell yourself you are going to ignore a new point scoring metric. I suspect that attitude won't last long, but if it does, thanks for the leg up. #DefCon #FPL
