Ever seen a bag like this?
Itβs a very vintage Woodwardβs one with basketball signals on it!
Pre-1970βs, considering where it was found.
Found it treasure hunting along the Fraser River in Richmond, BCπ¨π¦
The Fraser River Junkyard is literally an old city dump closed 60+ yrs ago. It wasnβt sealed properly. At high tide the river pulls the dirt away leaving βtreasuresβ like these old bottles.
This is what can be found at low tide.
I have 1 of each at home so leave them behindππ
And sometimes, I canβt get away from a βfindβ fast enoughβ¦
Donβt worry, it only contains 50% DDTππ
Can the Fraser River Junkyard be beach combed/explored when the tide comes inβ¦ yeah, kindaππ
This image is really unfortunate. This was one of my 1st real finds but I didnβt see the βvalueβ in keeping such a thing, at the time.
I skipped it over the water like a flat rock after I took this picture, never to be seen again.

This is my modest little Trans Canada Airlines collection. TCA turned into Air Canada in the mid-60βs.
Yes, even the newspaper piece is a beach find.

Since weβre talking about IKEA celebrating 50 years in Richmond, BC.
Any guess on how old this vintage spoon is?
Itβs marked βMade in P. REP. Of CHINAβ so definitely, the Authoritarian Era, pre-1991.
Yup, found along the Fraser River Junkyardππ

Didnβt know Richmond was the first IKEA location in Canada. I knew the first McDonaldβs was on 3 Road. We have a history of attracting solid global brands! #richmondbc
