Layer 2’s are inevitably centralized as we just saw with $ARB. We will see this more and more. They can’t compete long term with a fast layer 1 that settles directly on chain. The layer 2 thesis will soon be replaced by a layer 1 narrative….

Arbitrum making ppl think decentralized L2s are an impossible feat, meanwhile #tezos recently turned this pessimistic narrative up on its head.
The monoscopic vision for eth failures as representative of everything in the space must stop.

While there's going to be an EVM compatible roll-up for Tezos, it's far better to leapfrog and target wasm for most rollups.
Python, Typescript, Rust and their entire toolchains actually have developer network effects.
More developers develop for the EVM than for any other stack. Does this mean EVM has won the coveted "network effect"?
No. According to @ElectricCapital's report, there are only 2K full time devs on EVM in total, approximately 0% of worldwide developers.
