Everything about Trump becoming president is awful, but this is chilling: "Project 2025 proposes that the entire federal bureaucracy, including independent agencies such as the Department of Justice, be placed under direct presidential control." He can get away with anything.

My entire life, I wondered how the world stood by as the Jews were shipped off to the gas chambers during the Holocaust.
Over the past year, I've stopped wondering. The entire Western political & media class has taught us exactly how genocides happen:
1) Dehumanize the victims
2) Manufacture atrocity propaganda
3) Ignore historical context
4) Obsess over one's own history of victimhood
5) Manufacture false claims of antisemitism
What's most shocking is just how easy it has been to compel an entire generation of media & political elites to support genocide.
I really hate to say this, but this election in the US is giving Indy Ref 2014 vibes. The positive energy of the yes campaign lulled us into a false sense of security, everyone's views validated by their own echo chambers on social media, and we lost. I really hope I'm wrong.

With all this violence recently; riots, stabbings, crossbow attacks, knife attacks, child predators in the public eye, I have to agree when people say it's the "usual suspects", except that the common denominator isn't people of colour, or immigrants, or Muslims. It's men.
Was up Dundee law today and noticed some White supremacist graffiti on the wall saying something like "is there a future for the white race?" 🙄 There are definitely those types of people in Scotland, probably not as many as England, but it's enough.
