So many differing accounts regarding the news broken by WalesOnline yesterday. I think the only thing that we know for sure is that the situation is very far from simple. I don’t think anyone really knows how it’s going to pan out.

I'd say the headline here is inaccurate at best. Where 'resources are currently focused' does not equate to the door being closed. There are quite literally negotiations ongoing. Getting Champ clubs into the Prem and getting Welsh clubs into the Prem are not mutually exclusive.

But I was told it was all just rumour, bluster and false hope?! No smoke without fire.

Interesting few days ahead by the sounds of it…

Keeping Basham for next season has to be an absolute top priority for Cardiff. Right at the top of the list.

Would not blame Burnham at all for going for a snap election. I doubt it’ll get much better than this for him. Big choice for Reform now. Campaign on material, bread and butter issues and focus on becoming more palatable, or risk losing even more voters to the Conservatives.

Random thought and there’s nothing to suggest it will happen but would quite like to see Adams start at fullback against the Ospreys next week. Allows for Grady and Bowen on the wings and also opens up the possibility of him playing there for Wales.

Interesting team. Personally think the proposition of no Botham in the 23 when he's probably one of our most important players isn't quite right though.

In a proper dual-playmaker attack I can see why Eddie James is being viewed as a 13. He’s your big man on the outside to straighten. But it has to be a proper dual system. I.e. the 12 making more passes (generally) than the 10. Which wasn’t what we did in the summer.
