Freddy T learned what an E.G.O.T. was prepping for our sit-down with @johnlegend. Emmy, Grammy, Oscar & Tony. John’s got all four.
I added one more… “Sexiest” Man Alive. So, S.E.G.O.T. Then, Chann put John on his “light-skinned dime” list alongside @StephenCurry30, President @BarackObama, @BorisKodjoe & newly appointed @cytheiv.
My question is, does Chann think he belongs on this list, or is he just the “light skinned dime” committee chairperson?

When @johnlegend & @ChrisETeigen lost their son Jack at 20 weeks of pregnancy, their world was shattered. In the middle of that grief, Chrissy made a decision that initially made John uncomfortable: she wanted to share their loss with the world, just as they’d shared the joy in their lives.
They were met with both love & criticism, but the connection they built with others who had experienced similar heartbreak reminded them why sharing their story mattered. Sometimes, allowing the world into your pain helps someone else feel a little less alone in theirs.

Marlon Humphrey said Kyle Hamilton’s eyes lit up when he saw Tua across the field, but this walk-off interception was about more than Tua.
At first glance, Atlanta and OC Tommy Rees simply flipped the formation to get Drake London the ball. But a subtle change in the route combination freed Hamilton.
One small detail. One big-time read. One game-ending INT. Kyle Hamilton saw it & made them pay!

If C.J. Stroud were some people’s favorite quarterback, the analysts, fan pages, and social media mixtapes would be singing his praises. Instead, his stellar play has been overlooked because Houston is 1-4.
Outside of the loss to Cincinnati, where Nico Collins was unavailable, Stroud has positioned his team to win. They just haven’t gotten the stops when it mattered.
With DeMeco Ryans leading the defense and Marvin Harrison Jr. joining the mix, Houston will look to make another run like last year. I know they have the quarterback to lead the way.

King and Bill Belichick once shared a close relationship. So close that King sat with Art Modell to convince him Belichick was the right man to lead the Cleveland Browns.
Then came “Spygate”.
@peter_king believed Belichick knew exactly what was happening and had knowingly broken the rules. As a journalist, he reported it that way. For Belichick, that “was a bridge too far”.

The Commanders’ end-of-game debacle was a complete failure from the field to the sideline.
Credit to everyone for taking accountability, but that doesn’t excuse the lack of preparation, situational awareness, and execution.
Dan Quinn should’ve drilled it into his team, David Blough should have overcommunicated with Jayden Daniels, and JD should’ve taken charge on the field.
The Commanders had a win gift-wrapped and somehow refused to open the present.

The @RamsNFL’s Nate Landman forced two fumbles tonight using the peanut punch! 🥜💥 Nearly, won the game!
This technique has revolutionized defensive football and become a game-changing weapon for defenders looking to create turnovers.
Earlier on The Pivot Sports, we tackled the technique ourselves, demonstrating the punch-out while breaking down the pros and cons of using it in a game. Creating turnovers is an art, and the details matter!

Special human who carries a special message. Respect and Gratitude
Lane Johnson’s impact extends far beyond football. He became a pioneer in normalizing mental health and vulnerability in a profession that often mistakes silence for strength.
He was one of the baddest men on the field, but it takes a different kind of toughness to step away and prioritize yourself mentally and physically.
I know what Stephen A. said last week, and I’m grateful he retracted it. We need more Lane Johnsons in this world. Real strength isn’t just what you can endure, but knowing when to take care of yourself.
Enjoy retirement, good brother!

“It just gets behind his eyes” Tom Brady
Tom Brady dropped a gem after JSN’s 4th-quarter drop, and I’m not sure everybody caught it. Not all drops are created equal.
Darnold and JSN weren’t on the same page with the corner route’s angle, creating a “behind-the-eyes” catch that led to 4th-and-10.
The box score says drop. The film tells the real story. Details matter. Here’s what Tom meant.
