The Orioles emailed fans who sat in the Bird Bath Splash Zone on Saturday to apologize for the club's "failure to communicate" that Zay Flowers would not be the guest splasher and to offer complimentary tickets. "Zay did everything we asked of him. Any suggestion that he let fans down is misplaced." "That mistake is ours alone. We should have told ticketholders directly when our plans changed, and we didn't. We're sorry."

Fans showed up to Camden Yards thinking Zay Flowers would be the guest splasher. One family spent $800 for 11 tickets. But Flowers wasn’t on the docket to be the guest splasher as originally planned, and fans are miffed by the lack of communication. 📰: bit.ly/3SPt164
