The people behind this program have fed thousands and thousands of meals and helped people stay alive in the UD for several years now. I’m so sad it’s coming to an end.
Hey everybody! Unfortunate news, but we have got to stop this program, at least in its current form, because of fundraising issues. We just don't have a consistent fundraising team right now, and our current model is unsustainable.
We just wanna thank everyone for all the support, and generosity with their time, money, and encouragement on twitter. Weve been able to be a consistent presence in the community for 2.5 years, and its sad to let things go for now.
We are hoping to provide and extra amount of supplies to our program participants in these last few weeks, so any donations to @freefoodud on venmo or $redactedindividual on CA will go towards beefing up this last month of service.
