After the summer break we're back with working through motions to support the #BanDisposableVapes campaign. Today we had @ClacksCouncil who are the 29th council to support! We only have @midgov in a couple of weeks and then we will have had all councils discuss in meetings!❌🌬️

🌍 We asked Heckington Show visitors about climate change: the vast majority are worried - many intensely - and lots are doing what they can to help.

This. Is. Huge.
@ChristianAid has just dropped @Barclays as its bank for ethical reasons.
Because you can't say you care as a charity, while banking with Barclays - the biggest funder of fossil fuels in Europe.
Who's next to #DropBarclays?

Prices of lithium are going up and yet we cant be bothered to recycle the 10 tonnes going into our streets and parks from the disposable vaping epidemic. All the UK government needs to do is require a £1 deposit to be paid and problem solved.
Lithium ion battery prices rose for the first time this year, according to @benchmarkmin. ow.ly/OrQj50OQMn8

...and @ShetIslandsCll makes it 18/32! Massive shoutout to Scalloway Youth Eco Group with their local campaign. Thank you Laura Hughes for being a fantastic youth worker helping their efforts, and Cllrs Sandison and Lyall for putting forward the motion #BanDisposableVapes ❌
At least 182 single use plastic bottles (lots of containers too) over 80 glass bottles and a staggering 400 cans (many will be recycled thankfully). On top of that about 30 bags of human faeces and one stuck mouse 😢
Much of the flytipping was builders waste 😕😢
I wish I had a solution. I wish more could/would be do be done.
The positive outcome is that there are some amazing people who care enough to give up their Sunday morning to make things better. Thanks you to Debbie Jones and Sleaford Litter Pickers for organising 🌍💚🌍
