That time I fought the law...
And won!
Government power deserves public scrutiny.
In 2014, Carla Gericke won a ruling affirming that First Amendment protection for recording police extends to traffic stops, subject to reasonable restrictions.

"Report this invasive species."
"Let's purge NH of invasive pests."
"Apt comparison between invasive plants and the Free State Project."
That's how some NH Democrats, including my own town committee in Nottingham, talk about their neighbors.
We're not pests. We're Granite Staters who want lower taxes and more freedom.
Would you accept this language about any other group?

Can we manifest Elon landing a flying car at PorcFest next year? Back in 2020, New Hampshire was the first of now two states to legalize flying cars. The future in here. (In the @FreeStateNH.)

Another successful liberty comedy night at one of eight liberty clubhouses in the Free State.
How many liberty clubhouses in your state?
How many liberty comedy nights?
Come visit and see our state.
Maybe it should be your state.

Thank you @LouPerez @theBorisK and Peter Stewart for performing at the Shell last night!
Our liberty community absolutely loved you.

Blocked, so I can’t reply to Matt directly, but the problem here is twofold. First, they use recent state housing legislation to measure freedom. But states with the biggest problems have done the most to pass laws. Second, they use minimum lot sizes without adjusting for existing density - of course minimum lot sizes are smaller where pre-zoning density is higher. On this, they don’t say what they do for states where the National Zoning Atlas does not have data. 🤷♂️

Grateful for the board’s confidence and ready to get to work. The mission is clear: more liberty-lovers moving to New Hampshire
Pedro Serra elected FSP Board Chair. Dan McGuire returns to the Board. New Core Team leaders step forward.
Join us in welcoming them—and thanking outgoing Chair Séamas O’Scalaidhe for his years of service.

Find a small but defensible position, get your warriors there, defend it.

Bigger is not always better: when we concentrate our efforts we can achieve great things.
Mauduit du Plessis understood this 249 years ago when he reduces the size of Fort Mercer so a smaller force could effectively defend against advancing Hessians.

Liberty gets people to New Hampshire. Community is what makes them stay.
This is the part people can’t understand until they experience it.

Thanks to all the Liberty legislators who attended our soiree at the Quill. Missed it? Mark your calendars for our Ghostbusters-themed Halloween Party coming up on 10/31!
Down by the river in West Manchester, NH, the Free State.✌️
Ran into a Free Stater en route at the ice arena: "There are 8 Porc families watching their kids skate."
At 4p, a cocktail party at the Quill, the oldest libertarian clubhouse in the world, where about 30 legislators will gather with members before the election in a few weeks.
If YOU care about individual liberty, why don't you live here yet?

Over 13 years ago now I moved to New Hampshire for the Free State Project (@FreeStateNH).
This is now the longest I've lived anywhere. I'm calling this place home forever now.
New Hampshire has gotten progressively freer each passing year, is one of the only places to do so in the world, and is the freest state in the US by many metrics.
But the quality of life is really what makes me never want to leave.
It's safe, beautiful, has history, culture, and a fantastic freedom-loving community, both the explicit liberty movement and the general population.
I built a community, business, property, and family here, because I'm confident my home won't be taken away or ruined by people who hate freedom.
New Hampshire is my home because it's free, it's my forever home because the Free State Project and its legacy guarantees it'll stay that way.
The Free State comes with an insurance policy against tyranny.
Come visit.
I'm finally on Manchester, New Hampshire. 3000 mile voyage over. #livefreeordie @FreeStateNH

Not always. Liberty activists in @FreeStateNH have passed tons of laws that do no such thing. Medical marijuana, same-sex marriage, microbreweries, education freedom accounts, broad professional license reciprocity, to name a few. And we’ll be passing more like these this year.
