is it just me or has crypto become boring as fuck?
I genuinely miss the 2021 vibes. that era was completely unmatched.
the art, the projects, the communities, the people, the tech.. there was always something exciting happening.
it felt like everyone was building something, experimenting and actually having fun.
now it just feels like the same recycled shit over and over again.
maybe it’s nostalgia talking but crypto has lost so much of what made it interesting in the first place.

The list of hardware wallet vendors without an incident is rapidly going to zero.
We owe you an apology.
On October 20, we detected unauthorized access to our official website. After verifying API activity with Shopify, we confirmed on October 23 that a third party obtained customer shipping information. You trusted us with those details, and we're sorry we didn't keep them safe.
Exposed: names, contact details, shipping addresses, and order details (items and prices).
Not exposed: payment card or bank details, recovery phrases, private keys, or wallet passwords.
We've blocked access, fixed the vulnerability, opened an investigation, and are emailing affected customers.
Scammers may pose as Keystone by phone, text, email, or mail, offering refunds, replacement devices, or "fixes" for your order or address. None of it is from us.
NEVER share your recovery phrase or private keys, and NEVER enter your recovery phrase into a device you didn't order. We will never ask for them. Don't click links in unexpected messages. Type keyst.one yourself.
A detailed report is coming soon.
Until then, trust only our official channels. If anything feels off, email [email protected]. We'd rather hear from you than have you take a chance.
Again, we're truly sorry to everyone affected.

So this is what it is saying. If you supplied in random stablecoins blindly, to a random protocol in DeFi blindly - your breakeven risk-adjusted rate is 12.55% [you want this number as low as possible]?
Not bad. And if you start being selective - these risk premiums go lower

10h ago @litecoin experienced a coordinated attack on the chain that resulted in 13 blocks reorg that took more than 3h to generate.
During this time attackers were performing double spend attacks on multiple cross-chain swapping protocols.
We are investigating the situation.
I got completely owned by the most sophisticated hack I've ever encountered.
I'm a developer. I know what scams look like.
This didn't look like one.

People crying "DeFi is dead" because the largest lending protocol got exploited shows how risk-averse DeFi has become.
We used to trailblaze experiments like algorithmic stablecoins that offered four-digit yields.
Instead, we became so conservative that DeFi became just lending stables for low single-digit yields.
Now finally, people are realising the yield doesn't justify the risks that come with onchain finance.
I hope this is a wake up call for DeFi - not just for better security, though we need that - but because DeFi's whole point is building products that are dramatically better than and impossible in TradFi.
We need to dream bigger.
