I don’t always post on Twitter but when I do it’s #NationalTalkLikeAPirateDay! Our Ss amazed us with their creative pirate costumes and the amount of learning they accomplished while having FUN! (Some didn’t even realize how much work they did.) @FreshStart4th @MCPS_Sunrise

Students should start organized, structured writing in 2nd grade. This is a skill that should be taught and learned at this grade level.

Shark Bait Hoo Ha Ha🦈🦈🦈 Today students continued FSA math review with some shark bait. We also took a virtual field trip and went scuba diving with some sharks thanks to @nearpod. Love seeing them question and wonder about sharks and the ocean. @freshstart4th #sharkweek

Starbucks mode was exactly what our Ss needed on a Monday- the day before round 2 of state testing. They were engaged and ready to focus on their independent work after whole group. @Starbucks @freshstart4th #setthestagetoengage #scholarsamongus #futureworldchangers

Super Bowl LV Champions🏈 Online Ss used breakout rooms on our TEAMS platform. We had to get creative with our face to face Ss with all the Covid restrictions. But ALL Ss persevered and demonstrated the 4C’s to engage in our standards this whole week. @FreshStart4th #SuperBowl

I can FINALLY announce that FISH IN A TREE will be a movie! AND I’m going to make an appearance on film; that will be wild! LOVE the script; the characters have remained who they are in the book. I’m not allowed to release studio or actor details yet but that is coming! 🎥 🍿
