The Friends of Glasgow Royal Infirmary. Medicinal, biodiversity & wildflower gardens. They also have bees & produce their own honey. St Mungo’s primary school were the 1st to visit & sponsored one of the bees, who they named Mungo, of course. 🐝#glasgow #glasgowroyalinfirmary

@FriendsofGRI set-up specialist burns treatment in 1833. It had a vital role in treatment of burn injuries sustained in Glasgow's industrial revolution. One treatment was Carron oil (lime water/linseed oil mix) developed at the Iron Works. Now used as a supplement for horses!

The former Glasgow Blind Asylum (now part of the Glasgow Royal Infirmary complex). Designed by William Landless in a mix of gothic and baronial styles, and built in 1878, it supposely has the only public clock in Europe with five separate faces.
