Security Update: Earlier today, Curvance’s domain registrar account was compromised, resulting in unauthorized DNS changes that redirected users to malicious content as part of a broader wave of DNS-level attacks affecting multiple protocols. The Curvance protocol and smart contracts remain secure. This incident is isolated to the DNS/web layer. With support from @blockaid_ and @Seal_911, mitigation is actively underway. Do NOT interact with any previous Curvance frontend links until further notice. This includes old bookmarks or cached links.

The thing about @ritualfnd is that its not here to compete with AI or blockchains but its actually fixing the gap between them. Every developer building with AI today still depends on centralized endpoints and every chain trying to use AI ends up faking it through API calls. Because those models arent on-chain, they sit behind centralized servers, outside consensus where results cant be verified or composed with smart contracts. Ritual is making that connection native. Instead of calling closed APIs, smart contracts can request compute through Ritual's Infernet, getting the model output and a verifiable proof of execution. That means on-chain logic can actually trust off-chain intelligence. And no, its not competing with blockchains. For example lets say, a Monad dapp could use Ritual for AI inference or a Seismic dapp could route Ritual’s models for real-time predictions. So basically, It plugs in where and when logic needs intelligence. And instead of competing, they're working towards an enhanced and better tomorrow for the whole web3 space.

I’ve been learning more about @neutrl and wanted to share a straightforward breakdown of their approach to generating yield in the DeFi space. The project is built to generate yield through a completely different model than what we’re used to. Most yield in DeFi today comes from lending or inflationary token rewards, which can be unsustainable and unreliable when market conditions change. Neutrl is designed from the ground up to solve this by creating a yield that doesn’t depend on market direction, aiming to make your crypto work for you steadily in the background. Instead of betting on price appreciation, it profits from exclusive OTC access and structural inefficiencies in the market itself. The system achieves this using a market-neutral strategy, which is primarily composed of three techniques. - The first is OTC Arbitrage: The protocol sources and buys large blocks of tokens at a discount directly from entities like project treasuries and venture funds, and simultaneously hedges the purchase by shorting the same amount on the futures market, which locks in that discount as profit. - The second is Basis Trading: a classic strategy that profits from small price differences between the spot and futures markets by buying the asset at the lower spot price while selling it at the higher futures price. - The third is earning additional yield from staking collateral to generate additional APR to add a kicker to yield. The yield from this engine is delivered to users through two main products. The main one is NUSD, an asset designed to be fully composable across defi. For even higher returns, you can stake your NUSD. This converts it into sNUSD, a token that is simply designed to earn a a share of the protocol's profits.. Just as important as how they generate yield is how they manage risk. Neutrl uses Off-Exchange Settlement (OES), meaning the protocol's assets are not held directly on centralized exchanges. This minimizes the risk of a catastrophic loss from an exchange collapsing like in the case of FTX. Think of Neutrl as Ethena on steroids. It takes Ethena's proven model and enhances it in two powerful ways. First, it expands beyond the crowded ETH market to target untapped altcoins where yield opportunities are greater. Second, it adds its own OTC arbitrage engine to capture profits from private, discounted deals. I think we're very early. The project is already proving its model in a private beta, which has drawn about $50 million in deposits and is generating around 29% APR. This is all happening before a public launch, which is why the project feels so underrated. Study @neutrl

The partnership between @monad_xyz and @wormhole is one of the most strategic moves in the space and it's worth understanding the strategy. Two major challenges in crypto are scalability and fragmentation. Monad and Wormhole address both head-on. Monad is a high-performance L1 blockchain targeting 10,000 TPS, decentralization and world-class performance. Its critical feature is full EVM compatibility, meaning the vast ecosystem of Ethereum developers can migrate their apps seamlessly to a much faster and cheaper environment without needing to rewrite code. Wormhole is the universal interoperability layer, a messaging protocol connecting over 30 blockchains like Ethereum and Solana. It allows not just tokens, but any data to move between chains, which is essential for building complex cross-chain applications. The strategic brilliance is in the timing. New L1s face a "cold start" problem which is no users or liquidity. By integrating Wormhole from day one of its testnet, Monad launched with immediate connectivity to the entire crypto ecosystem. This solves the adoption hurdle, making it an attractive platform for developers who can instantly tap into existing liquidity and user bases. This synergy also unlocks new potential. Monad's high throughput makes advanced cross-chain dApps (like on-chain order books or real-time games) practical and affordable in a way they aren't on slower chains. Theres also a strong community and economic alignment. Wormhole airdropped a significant amount of its $W token to active Monad community members (Nads). This has fueled widespread speculation that Monad will reciprocate with its own airdrop for $W stakers and ambassadors, creating a powerful mutually-invested user base for both projects long before Monad's mainnet launch. In short, Monad provides the decentralized, parallel-processing power for the EVM, and Wormhole provides the instant, universal connectivity. It’s a powerful combination that redefines the go-to-market strategy for new blockchains.

Did you know that Monad took longer to build because the goal wasnt just speed? Im sure most people recognize Monad for that 10K TPS (speed). But keone says, If that was the only goal they could’ve shipped years ago. That would’ve made noise for a while, but it wouldn’t have changed anything much in the space. The real mission was decentralization + world-class performance that lasts. Unroll the quoted tweet to know more.
The goal was never just to build a fast blockchain. If that were the only goal, we could have been done three and a half years ago by running geth, or erigon, or reth, or solana, with minor changes, on a bigger box, on a few nodes located close to each other. We could have done that quickly, and people might have been excited for a little while. But we would not have really contributed anything, and the hype would quickly fade, and you would already have forgotten about us. Every startup needs a north star, a reason for being. Market sentiment is inherently volatile, but without a reason, faith falters when sentiment wanes. A team and a community can keep moving consistently forward, gaining new strength and experience every day, regardless of the sentiment, if there is a clear raison d'être and a clear plan of attack. For our team, the north star has always been decentralization. Empowering decentralized systems with new architecture that makes the most of every cache line, every SSD IOP and every bit of bandwidth. Existing blockchain systems don't have the performance engineering advancements that characterize modern finance (Nasdaq ITCH, CME Globex, Goldman SecDb). We can change that, and support an ecosystem of ambitious builders who take advantage of these new superpowers. We can change that. Rolling out the last round of features soon, open sourcing the execution client soon, audit contest soon, mainnet soon. The future is indeterminate and incredibly exciting.

June 2025: On June 28, Curvance’s founder Chris "0xMai" Carapola announced the protocol was officially feature complete after 3 years and 3 days of development, beginning June 24, 2022. With audits and final testing ongoing, Curvance confirmed its mainnet debut will come on day one of Monad Mainnet. teapawt.net/0xMai/status/193870468…
This is a big one, Curvance is officially feature complete for launch. I realized after looking back, all this time I thought we started development in early May 2022. But it was actually June 24th, putting full completion of Curvance at 3 years 3 days. 1098 days of building Curvance from a blank .sol file. What started as something I would code every day after getting home from the trading floor became something that ended up taking 10% of my current lifetime to build. Redesigning, rewriting, iteration by iteration, its finally ready. Still more tinkering to do, more tests, finishing final audits and fixing bugs that are found. More to come on all the new tech we've built that blows everything else out of the water. Coming to day 1 of Monad Mainnet.
