Exactly. This local campaign was the most toxic I’ve ever witnessed. Lies, bullying and intimidation all on the doorstep- from Labour. They’ve turned away thousands of voters from them… a winnable seat will be lost to them for years to come. Shameful.
Will this committee on intimidation be reaching out to me @YvetteCooperMP? What about Labour councillors going to door to door and spreading lies about me (we have evidence) How do you think people feel about entering politics after what happened to me? The idea that the Labour Party are the good guys or can lecture others is rubbish

You're appalled by everything else except genocide.
I am appalled by the shocking scenes at President Trump's rally and we send him and his family our best wishes. Political violence in any form has no place in our societies and my thoughts are with all the victims of this attack.

I’m deeply concerned at news that Wes Streeting is considering making the ban on puberty blockers permanent. Sensitive healthcare decisions are profoundly personal and are best taken on an individual basis with appropriate professional support - not by the health secretary.

Let the Hunger Games commence…
I’d be interested in knowing whether Kemi thinks I’m having a “very public nervous breakdown”. #honesty #unity #wedontleak

It’s quite interesting that there his been a wave of support for parties outside of the conservatives and Labour. A wave of Green Party in the east. Some reform dotted around and some great independents.
Few London seats have changed hands but under the surface... In 2019, there was just 1 constituency where Lab, Con or LDs were not both winner and runner-up. In 2024, there are 29.

How insincere
Incredible chutzpah from Starmer just now to praise Diane Abbott, given that his henchmen did everything in their power to force her out of office barely a month ago

She was literally on the street knocking doors when they pulled labour support. It was labour that ran against her, not the other way around.

Please don’t come back. Your campaign was fairly shameful from start to finish. From being dropped in here by your NEC mates to your insinuations about Faiza and your campaigners lies and aggression on the doorstep. Labour have lost so much support here that took years to build.

They would rather inflict one of the worst Tories on this constituency and country again, than let the wildly capable, effective and popular Faiza win. A disgrace - that’s the Labour Party now
Replying to @faizashaheen
All you people mad at Faiza need to sort your priorities out Labour even said it was a "price worth paying". This is the result of their meddling and they're happy about it

What a remarkable campaign- this team has restored my faith in politics and that good people actually care about our community. 600 volunteers yesterday alone! @faizashaheen IS passionate, informed and inspiring. Robbed of this by factionalism, but should hold her head high! 💜

As for @UKLabour and @ShamaTatler they should hang their heads. A shameful campaign. Bullying a woman out, then bussing in councillors from all over to divide, stir up fear & lie. But they’ll all leave now. Shama’s interest in us will evaporate as quickly as it appeared.

I just can’t get past Labour winning 65% of seats off 34% of the vote. Absolutely wild mismatch between the headline result and, well, everything else. Britain is now a multi-party system, and first-past-the-post can’t cope.

Stand up to bullies. Something seemingly lost on this man. Well done on a terrific campaign @faizashaheen - your family should feel very proud.
Faiza Shaheen kept IDS in his seat. So congrats on that.

Every single broadcaster cutting away from Jeremy Corbyn as he was about to give his victory speech to cover Nigel Farage is the past decade in British politics in a nutshell

Ian Duncan Smith held Chingford. Let this be a lesson to Labour. This loss is on Kier Starmer. Faiza would have won.

Mr Reeves, my old A Level Economics teacher getting the vote out today 😭 Legend!!!! So emotional and so meaningful to run in your home seat. That’s why when I was told to wait for a safe seat in 2018 I said no. I want to represent my community! Today people who will vote for me include people I walked to school with, that I worked in Greggs with, who came to my mother’s funeral… my old GP, the person who makes me a coffee before I get on the tube from Woodford, my neighbours. People who know I will always stand up for the NHS, education, equality, justice, for the environment. And most of all, they know I will always fight for my home and for them.

Agreed. I hope in the aftermath of this election there will be a genuine conversation about proportional representation! We need different voices! Two parties shouldn’t be the options!

Isn’t this just indicative of an uninspiring campaign by Labour. People right now just want the tories to end… they’re not excited for Labour 🫣
We asked Labour voters to tell us in their own words the main reason they are backing the party. For the largest number by far the key motivation is ousting the Conservatives Top 5 reasons Get the Tories out: 48% Country needs a change: 13% Agree with their policies: 5% To improve NHS: 4% Best-liked party with a change of winning: 4% yougov.co.uk/politics/articl…
