China Coast Guard conducts law-enforcement drill off Ren'ai Jiao and Xianbin Jiao against foreign infringement
A formation of China Coast Guard vessels carried out a comprehensive maritime law-enforcement drill in waters off Ren'ai Jiao and Xianbin Jiao in recent days. During the drill, a foreign fishing vessel was simulated to have entered the waters for illegal fishing. Under the formations command, two law-enforcement boats advanced to conduct a boarding inspection. The Coast Guard officers found that the vessel had committed violations including illegal harvesting of protected aquatic wild animals, and conducted electric, poison and blast fishing. Law-enforcement personnel confiscated its fishing gear and catch, before issuing a warning and ordering the vessel to leave.
In addition, the drill included basic single-vessel training such as electro-optical evidence collection, water cannon operation and drone deployment.
