COMING UP FOR THE #FWXI Sat 25th July sees me take the #FWXI side back to @FrysFC for another charity game with my official charity partners, last campaign saw Fry’s raise over £2000 for the Comfort Fund and I’ve been lucky to build a close friendship with this special club…. Me and Mrs #FW just got back from a wonderful day at @FrysFC 2025/26 presentation day, 12 start at the Somerdale Pavilion, and from arrival treated like king and queen, such fantastic hosts, made us both feel so welcome, a lovely sit down meal, asked to present awards, and again they shine like that bright star in the sky by donating £510.00 for the @cfcf_bristol charity… truly an honour to be invited and to have such wonderful words spoken about my commitment to CF and Non-League football was very special… thank you Call for letting us be a part of today, the beginning of a long friendship personally and a continued relationship with this fantastic club… have a great evening, we will leave the drinking and dancing to you guys…. ITS BEEN A GREAT FEW WEEKS FOR #FW AND CYSTIC FIBROSIS 🤍⚽️ Thank you to the people that together have raised this INCREDIBLE amount of money for @cfcf_bristol 🙌🏼🤍 @FrysFC @NailseaUnited @_BPCL @CongresburyFC @somersetcfl @BradfordTownFC and the #FW Ball together we have raised an incredible £8177.60 for this amazing cause… I’m absolutely lost for words and blown away by the kindness of you wonderful people… thank you so much to everyone, this has been some April/May and this money raised will make such a difference to so many living with Cystic Fibrosis…. Well…. What a weekend!!! I’ve had chance to reflect on what was nothing short of a FANTASTIC weekend with the @somersetcfl first ever ground hop of its History…. 🙌🏼⚽️ First off, the well done has to go to all the hard working people involved from all the amazing clubs that were brilliant, @FrysFC @CongresburyFC @clevedonunited @NailseaUnited @glastonbury_fc and @ChardTownFC you were all brilliant, the effort and commitment that went into making this so successful was incredible, you all done so well and deserve all the plaudits that come your way…. 👏🏼 👏🏼 and a huge thank you to @KateLemmon14524 who gave up her weekend to meet and great every face that came through the gate over all 6 games, she’s an absolute star ⭐️ Secondly, the League, when we pitched this idea to @PeachJK not only did he embrace it, he took the bull by the horns and absolutely delivered and some, all the match officials, thank you, without you guys none of this would have happened so thank you also, but Peachy, you’ll go down in history mate, and I hope you get the recognition you deserve from your peers at the League, someone I now will call a friend 🫱🏻‍🫲🏼 Next up, The Hoppers… quirky and unique in their own right, but to travel to little old Somerset from Scotland, Manchester, Preston, Middlesbrough, Norwich, Sheffield, London just to name a few… honestly wow!! The success of the weekend wouldn’t have worked without you all and for that I’m sure speaking on behalf on everyone were all so so grateful for your efforts… Huge shout to Adam from @ReplAiCamsX who worked tirelessly all weekend capturing those highlights, what a guy seriously.. incredible work Ads And I guess I can’t not mention my wing man JB…. John Burr is for me the NonLeague football master, absolutely lives and breathes grassroots and the energy and passion he put into this was the foundations of it’s success, not a better bloke on the planet you’d want t in your corner… in and out of football he’s been my rock, and to have completed this weekend with him is another sign of his testament of the man he is… absolutely love the bloke, well in JB 🤍 (still never bought me a tea mind ☕️) I will end this on this incredible note, thank you @FrysFC @CongresburyFC , @NailseaUnited and the @somersetcfl for the kindness and generosity where £1750.00 from this hop will be donated to the Cystic Fibrosis Comfort Fund , this was never about me, #FW or CF, this was always about the clubs, the league and the first EVER Somerset Hop, but with @Mattyc1988 putting that banner up at every ground something the league done off their own back, and the logo being on all the merch, subs board and more that awareness was out there, that CF flag was being flown yet again and for this I’m forever grateful, I say this all the time… I’m just me, a big lump that loves the game and loves doing my bit for others in memory of Syd, but moments like this really do touch my heart, and I really am grateful to be surrounded by such incredible people… thank you 🤍⚽️ Now…. It’s get this season wrapped up, charity ball to look forward to in a few weeks, and spend some time with Faye and the boys before doing it all again next year….. NON LEAGUE, LOVE IT!!
