Let’s go further! @nigimmigration @BTOofficial @Oluomoofderby Time to scrap those 5year passports. What is the point of them? £100 gets you a new 10yr UK passport and for a Nigerian you need nearly £300,why exactly? The fees Nigerians pay for 5 yr passport should be for 10yrs.
After paying 230 pounds, I was asked to pay another 78 pounds for biometrics (via contactless on the application) and another 20 pounds.... after completing all the process, the application logged me out with a prompt asking me to apply for a physical appearance.

Look, I complain, but I also have a solution. drop the Nigerian visa fee for dual nationals from $340+ to $50-$100. It clears the passport queues, gives you time to fix the system, and stops this endless cycle of failure.

It is now 11:30 a.m., and people who arrived as early as 9:00 a.m. are still waiting, with nothing happening. This is not the way to treat Nigerians who have taken time off work, travelled long distances, and paid for passport services.
Please, we cannot continue doing things this way. We need proper planning, better organisation, clear communication, and an efficient system that respects people’s time and dignity.
We must move away from the same old ways of doing things and organise these interventions properly. Nigerians in the UK deserve better.

Honestly because @BTOofficial Nigeria loses a lot of money not finding simple fixes like this that allows people to travel easily to spend their money.
It’s about $50 anyway in most countries in Africa and it helps to free up queues from everyone trying to get a passport. Diasporans don’t need to be clogging up your queues. It’s a quick fix.
