FORMAL APPEAL TO THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT 🇪🇺 @EP_President @RobertaMetsola @davidmcallister @HNeumannMEP @bgroothuis @kajakallas The European Parliament has repeatedly condemned the threats, hostile activities and brutal repression carried out by the Islamic Republic, including the massacre of peaceful protesters in January 2026. We, the people of Iran, respectfully call on the European Parliament and EU Member States to exercise their powers under Article 9 of the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations to declare members of the Islamic Republic’s diplomatic staff persona non grata and require them to leave European soil. Under Article 2 of the Vienna Convention, diplomatic relations and permanent diplomatic missions are established by mutual consent. We also ask the European Parliament to consider recognising an interim transitional authority under the leadership of Crown Prince @PahlaviReza, and accepting representatives appointed by that authority as Iran’s diplomatic representatives during a democratic transition. There is clear precedent for such a step. In 2011, the United Kingdom (and others) recognised Libya’s National Transitional Council as the sole governmental authority, expelled the remaining diplomats of the Gaddafi regime, and invited the NTC to appoint a new diplomatic representative. The world must heed the clear will of the Iranian people. Iran’s embassies in Europe should represent the Iranian people, not a regime that massacres them. #IranEmbassiesToPahlavi
