In Kharkiv, pensioners from Saltovka wished a happy birthday to Japanese volunteer Fuminori Tsuchiko , who, thanks to donations from his homeland, has been organizing a free cafe since the first days of the war.

Notice how the missiles attacking Sevastopol aren't hitting hospitals or schools. They aren't hitting maternity wards, shopping malls, cafes, or apartment buildings. They aren't hitting theaters with a sign out front that says "CHILDREN."

Got some coffee not far from Kyiv downtown. Told the seller to put the change in the tip box.
- For the victory, - she said.
- For the victory, - I confirmed.
She told me she was from Kharkiv reg where her parentsβ house has been destroyed. Her mom lives in Kyiv now and wants to come back. Meanwhile, Ukraine has started evacuation from border parts in the Kharkiv region as Russia shells there constantly.
- Sometimes military buy coffee here. Sometimes I look at them and understand that this should be for free. So I use the tips and make them free coffee, - the coffee woman continued.
When I left she was crying. The tears of relief. She just needed someone to listen to her. Victory is in our people. Proud of Ukrainians.

β‘οΈWe had a very busy day yesterday - and I'm not talking about the circus with the beautiful. Our 3rd Armored Brigade carried out successful offensive operations in the Bakhmut direction. The result in one day - a whole kilometer-long line of trenches was recaptured from the enemy (the total area is much more than a kilometer), which had to be completely cleared of snipers.
It was a complex operation with very heavy trench fighting. The fighters of the 1st mechbat showed not only coherence and professional actions, but also the character of real stormtroopers. It was on character that the enemy was defeated. Some fights were at a distance of 1-2 meters and even up close!
Russian soldiers - in particular, the 57th brigade of the Russian Federation - put up serious resistance. At every position from where we knocked them out, the podors gave a fight.
By the way, they didn't know what the hell was going on at home. Probably, that's why they tried to fight - they thought that someone was interested in them. But as a result, the 3rd battalion of the 57th Podor brigade was destroyed - almost all soldiers were either killed, captured, or wounded.
And we are moving on!

The Kremlin under a drone attack.
Something tells me that Putinβs three-days-long walk in the park to seize Kyiv is not going very well.

If you go on twitter & look at the profiles of International Volunteers in Ukraine, you'll see a broad church.
White people. Black people. Asians, South Americans. Jews. Gay, straight, Transgender etc etc
Literally everyone is represented.
Weird for a supposedly Nazi state! π
