I can’t express how much I hate this John Lewis advert. Spoilt entitled, rude and overindulged children. Useless, weak parents. Terrible mauling of the Rolling Stones. Yet again ANOTHER cliched out-of-touch grandparent we are all supposed to roll our eyes at. Urgh. It’s as bad as that ‘get consent to hug your grandkids’ one. mol.im/a/16259695

The EU — If we rejoined the EU the only thing the population of this country (UK) needs to worry about is the vast increase of illegal immigrants that will come into this country – Everything else is irrelevant. #EU

Isn’t it about time we played ‘hardball’ with the EU? - Let put a 20% import tax on all goods and services from the EU — The EU only gets away with being a pain in the neck because, here in Britain, we are very polite and don’t like to cause a fuss. — Enough is enough.

Do I care about my rapists rehabilitation? Nope. Do I think he can be rehabilitated? Nope. Do I think he should be molly coddled and helped back into society and the community while im homeless because they are being released? Nope. Do I think he should be going to a Cat D prison with day release 6.5 years into his 17 year sentence? Nope. Do I think his rehabilitation is more important than him being punished for ruining my life along with his family and friends. Nope. I would be much happier if they all just got the rope in the town center and I could chuck stuff at them, but thats unfortunately not an option so the least they could do is keep a child rapists in prison amd actually punish him for his crimes instead if pushing the boat out for him to be accepted back in a society I still have no place in thanks to them.

They didn’t just fail Henry Nowak as he lay dying. They failed his family in the hours that followed. Right after telling them their 18 year old son had been murdered, police asked about his political views. And theirs. His mother later said: “It’s a really strange question. You’ve just been told your son’s been murdered and then they asked that.” Meanwhile the official story kept changing. First aid had been given immediately. Then it became he was detained. Then handcuffed. Then arrested while he was dying. They were shown a draft press release that painted their son as the aggressor while his father was still driving home from identifying his body. The family now say they fear they were manipulated in their darkest hours, with decisions made to protect the police rather than help them. That’s not support. That’s something far colder.

Zelenskyy: “Russians don’t spare people, which is why they suffered record 54,000 losses in October. They’re sending tens of thousands of murderers—yes, murderers. These 54,000 losses are the losses of Russian murderers. They can’t be pitied, because they’re coming to murder us.” This is such a basic thing. Russians are invading our country to kill our people. Sympathy should be with the defending side. It's such a pity that a certain trillionaire and some people in Western governments don't understand the difference between the victim and the aggressor. The aggressor, who has the choice to stop this war any day, stop murdering people, and stop suffering losses.

When Lucie Kon walked onstage in New York to accept an Emmy for her harrowing documentary about Hamas’ October 7 attacks, she was terrified. Her employer, the BBC, had told her not to mention that it was a BBC film. The BBC hadn’t paid for her flight or her hotel. And while she had been in the hospital months earlier, the BBC had eliminated her job. Read the full story here: aish.com/the-bbc-broke-her-b…

We have intel that Russia is preparing a new massive attack on our country – primarily targeting energy and logistics. The assumption is basically that tomorrow the world will be watching the American midterms, and what is happening here in Ukraine, along with our difficulties with air defense and Patriot missiles, will be overlooked. We need signals from the world to Russia that will make them feel that terror is no good, that it will bring no gains, and that as long as this war continues, their oil will burn, and they will not be able to make money doing business with the world. We must not play games with Russia’s oil or gas revenues. We must put pressure on Russia in such a way that it has no alternative but to end this war. America can do this.

If you want to understand why the British public raised nearly £400k for homeless British veterans in a few hours, just look at these news articles from today. British taxpayers paying more welfare for migrants, funding poor EU countries and giving £40m to the Caribbean. The public’s priorities are clear! Charity starts at home. It starts with British veterans. Justgiving.com/page/saveourv…

I was called into my manager's office this morning because of my outfit. He said, "You can't wear pyjamas for work." I said, "Everyone else does." He said, "That's because they're patients."

🌺 None of Harry Patch's old comrades were there to carry his coffin. He had outlived them all. On 6 August 2009, Harry Patch, the last surviving British soldier to have fought in the trenches of the First World War, was laid to rest aged 111. Harry had served with the Duke of Cornwall's Light Infantry during the Battle of Passchendaele in 1917. He survived a shell explosion that killed three of his comrades, men whose loss stayed with him for the rest of his life. At his funeral in Wells Cathedral, Somerset, soldiers from The Rifles carried his Union Jack-draped coffin, accompanied by military representatives from France, Belgium and Germany. In keeping with Harry's wishes, no weapons were carried. The cathedral bells rang 111 times, once for every year of his remarkable life. It was a farewell not just to Harry, but to an entire generation. Rip mate xx

This horrendous bill will mean vulnerable, autistic & gay children, groomed on line into cult behaviours, will be removed from loving parents & put into poor, over crowded, under funded public foster care, where trans identifying is 4x the national average! As well as possibly criminalising brothers, sisters & school friends. It is a vile bill that will do far more harm than good

Truly remarkable 1 hour @BBCPanorama documentary last night. What stood out very plainly was the sheer evil of this regime. The pure, unadulterated cruelty of the massacre in January after an order by the Supreme leader. It records how it unexpected it was. We’ve seen the depths of what this regime is capable of, but never like this. One person says that what transpired in those two days “will be talked about for 200 years”. It also captures the lies the regime spewed after. The very next day the Supreme leader declaring that Israeli and American insurgents “killed peaceful protesters - sometimes in deeply inhuman ways” - showed gaslighting on another level. This is what was needed to be seen and what the world was prevented from being shown by the 3 month regime-imposed internet blackout. People know now. Watch for yourself on catch up and understand what our fellow human beings in Iran have been up against for the last 47 years. bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/m0…
Important doc film on Iran protests in January that led to massacres (my pinned tweet says 43,000 but many of the 350,000 injured now confirmed dead). @BBCOne at 8pm. I’ve been critical of British journalists reporting from inside Iran but this one focusses on those who got out. Must watch TV tonight bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c3qj…
