This looks good! If you have a spare few dollars looking for a home they could use a hand meeting their goal. I just backed BaadFood #3 - a Sci-Fi comic on @Kickstarter kickstarter.com/projects/196…

When Warsuits, altered humans and machine intelligences have all the jobs, what will a pair of music obsessed twenty-somethings do?

I've seen a lot of people asking "why does everyone think Twitter is doomed?" As an SRE and sysadmin with 10+ years of industry experience, I wanted to write up a few scenarios that are real threats to the integrity of the bird site over the coming weeks.

I know many of you are following the story of how Nadine Dorries misled the House of Commons Culture Select Committee on which I sit. The Committee issued an excoriating report about her. I sent a copy to The Speaker asking him to take action. Have a listen to his response to me.

Unless you operated large systems, it’s hard to appreciate both how they work, and how they break. Twitter won’t go down with a big b, and it won’t go down irreparable. Things will work fine for a while - thanks to no new deploys! Then, here’s what’s likely to happen (cont’d):

Good to hear. Having no outages means there will never be outages, no new capacity issues, no new cascading failures, no bad pushes, nothing. We will freeze in time and my tweets will go into /dev/null. I wished I was smart enough to come up with this idea at work.

Stephen Fry -one of the early adopters of #Twitter, joining the platform in 2008 and with 12 Million followers - has just deleted his account. It kinda says it all really! #TwitterExodus #ElonMusk #StephenFry

I have never fallen in love with a device as fast as the @playdate - everything about it is delightful. It made me realise how boring user interfaces have become. Also, it's so, so yellow

Devastating news, an irreplaceable loss to comics. To describe Kevin O’Neill as a great is to come nowhere close to communicating his influence and the years of joy he’s brought comic fans the World over. I can’t believe he’s gone.

It is with enormous sadness that we have learned of the passing of Kevin O'Neill. Our condolences to Kevin's family, friends and fans. goshlondon.com/the-gosh-blog…
