Jess Wilson wonโt share a debate stage with the Liberalsโ quasi-coalition partner, One Nation.
But apparently relying on ON to form govt is another matter entirely.
An interesting distinction, and one Jess Wilson could explain at a debate, that is if she'd ever turn up to one.

The conversion ban just passed the Lower House. Itโs a great day for Tasmania.
Thank you to all the MPs who voted for this important and overdue reform.

This is the real David Crisafulli.
Behind the slick slogans and salesman act, is someone who thinks intimidating a victim of crime is acceptable.
The Premier attacked Jonty Bush while she highlighted the stories of victims of crime.
Queenslanders deserve better.

THE UNITED NATIONS HAS RESPONDED TO MY INVESTIGATION INTO WOMEN GIVING BIRTH IN CHAINS IN AUSTRALIA.
I've received a written response from the office of UN Special Rapporteur on violence against women and girls, Reem Alsalem, concerning the shackling of incarcerated women during childbirth.
What the UN has told me raises serious questions about the Australian Government's refusal to support legislation banning this practice.
The response explicitly states:
โAustralia's federal structure cannot, in itself, excuse non-compliance with its international human rights obligations.โ
It acknowledges that corrective services are administered by states and territories, but makes clear that this does not resolve Australia's responsibilities under international law.
The response cites Rule 24 of the UN Bangkok Rules, which expressly provides that instruments of restraint โshall never be used on women during labour, during birth and immediately after birth.โ
It also states:
โThe Commonwealth should therefore explain what concrete national measures it will pursue to ensure that this practice is prohibited, prevented and effectively monitored.โ
These are important statements from the office of a UN Special Rapporteur.
The Commonwealth cannot simply point to state and territory responsibility without explaining how Australia will meet its international human rights obligations.
Yet the Federal Government and Opposition declined to support Senator Lidia Thorpe's legislation to prohibit shackling during childbirth.
Leading obstetricians, including representatives of RANZCOG, have warned that shackling during childbirth can put BOTH MOTHER AND BABY at serious medical risk. Restraints can impede emergency treatment when seconds may mean the difference between life and death.
It is cruel, degrading, medically unnecessary and potentially dangerous.
I am now seeking direct answers from Minister for Women Katy Gallagher (@SenKatyG) and Health Minister Mark Butler (@Mark_Butler_MP) and our PM @AlboMP
Will they support a complete prohibition on shackling during labour, childbirth and immediately afterwards? What concrete national measures will they take to prevent this practice? And when will they act?
Senators Lidia Thorpe, David Shoebridge, Fatima Payman and David Pocock have supported efforts to end this practice. Their continued involvement is particularly important following this UN response.
@SenatorThorpe @DavidShoebridge @SenatorPayman @DavidPocock
These women are giving birth in Australian hospitals. Their babies have committed no crime.
Australia's international human rights obligations cannot simply be passed from Canberra to the states and territories.
The fight to end childbirth in chains is far from over.

If an activity falls within the scope of the SDA, then sex discrimination is unlawful; in this case, it would be unlawful sex discrimination against men.
Also, Michaelia, the SDA doesn't confer benefits; it's not like a Centrelink payment ๐

The funniest thing about this is all the crazed people in the replies screaming that all men are, in fact, predators and agreeing that society must be segregated.
Taking a leaf from such bigots as racists, they donโt even realise how effed up they sound.
Actually scratch that, your average racist has more discretion than these crazies.
So in this weeks episode of GCโs having a normal one, we have apparently learned from them that:
- all men are possibly predators and must be safeguarded against.
- all male doctors must be safeguarded against.
- all male hairdressers must be safeguarded against.
- I am a man. Or I might be trans. They can always tell or something.
- @socfemoz and @Funfems are definitely men.
- Segregation (their word) of the sexes is the only safe option.
- They have a right to live in a segregated society.
Iโve seen this kind of rhetoric before about race and it doesnโt lead anywhere good.

This seems to be a very difficult concept for GC/TERFs to grasp because they have been led to believe the SDA gives women special rights and privileges (I wish)

You can tell every small business across Australia that sex discrimination is unlawful.
Therefore, a women-only public event is unlawful because it's sex discrimination (against men).

Wondering why the Liberal Party are suddenly pretending to care about women & their โrightsโ, want sex defined & give women a right to discriminate againsr men for any reason whatsoever?
There are a number of reasons but mainly because it would allow men to do the same women.
