The global outpouring of grief and admiration for Patrick Stewart may push @paramountplus and @Skydance to greenlight a new Star Trek series that brings the thoughtful writing and commanding presence of top actors preferably with strong theater backgrounds that he brought to the franchise.

The last few days are the brief, @davidellison. Patrick Stewart’s death did not produce a nostalgia spike. It showed that Picard still teaches people how to lead, how to listen, and how to hold a moral line without cruelty. That reach is rare. It is organic, it crosses age and politics, and it is not a campaign. People who agree on almost nothing still agree about Picard. The audience never left. The question for @Skydance @paramountplus @startrek is whether they build something worthy of that influence, or keep making shows that talk down to it.
