Important note from Ty here that Gage Wood will not be pitching for Reading in the championship series
Ty Daubert@TyDaubertSep 22
Phillies prospect Gage Wood won’t pitch in Reading’s Eastern League championship series. He feels “fine,” manager Al Pedrique said, but the organization made the decision to keep him on the development list and off the mound. The Fightins can clinch with a Game 2 win tonight.

Bit of a weird outing from Gage Wood in Reading's Playoff game tonight His line: 4 IP | 2 H | 3 ER | 3 BB | 4 K | 78 pitches Wood walked the bases loaded in the 2nd, and only may have allowed 1 run in the inning if it wasn't for a bad play in the field

Perhaps the most interesting thing was Gage Wood's fastball velo was down to 91 mph in the 4th, but got back up to 94 later in the inning Could be a few things but Wood did have a long layoff tonight because of the offensive explosion
