Final full day in Iceland - wild weather in the morning stopped us seeing the newest lava flow, but we saw some seals at the coast and had a walk around the semi-abandoned town of Grindavik, and finally we had a few hours in Reykjavik. #GCSIceland2026
A better aurora display last night - what a treat! #GCSIceland2026
What an amazing day! A swim in the Secret Lagoon, Gullfoss waterfall, Geysir geothermal area and finally a fantastic walk through Thingvellir National Park (with lots of snowball throwing from some of us!). #GCSIceland2026
What a fantastic day! Waterfalls, coastal features and a glacier - and 4 seasons’ worth of weather in one day! Geography in action! #GCSIceland2026
At the Lava Centre finding out about Iceland’s volcanoes - all surprised to find out there were a number of (very small!) earthquakes beneath our hotel last night! #GCSIceland2026

Fantastic start to the day - stop one is Solheimajokull glacier. Sadly it’s noticeably thinner than last year - climate change very visible here in spite of the Arctic wind chill! #GCSIceland2024
Excellent dinner tonight (thank you Skalinn Center!) followed by a stunning sunset. Amazing day! #GCSIceland2024
